- 5 keys
- 10,000 AUR
Do you subscribe? If not, why?
No offense to CCP, but this game isnt worth paying a weekly subscription for. Its buggy, the game is very simple and its complexity doesn't justify constant maintenance fees, releases are inconsistent and (in the past) slow and over the long term seem to be hamstrung by upper management being confused about what they want to happen, memory leaks and poor resource usage still make some maps unplayable for the whole match, and so on, and so on.
I enjoy the game and everything, but Im not going to pay for it monthly (and this is from someone who has purchased some aurum). |

Help me understand: you want CCP to fix bugs, make the game deeper/more complex, and have more frequent releases by not having a steady, consistent revenue stream? Got it. Take the $15 sub option we are talking about at face value. Take away anything that you perceive to be wrong with Dust 514 or it's development. What are some things that would make you consider subbing? Lower sub cost? Is there some interesting feature (that does not grant an in-game damage bonus or similar P2W bonus) that you want? Or you are 100% against the idea of a sub purely based on the principle? That's perfectly understandable. Some people hate the idea of having subs. In this hypothetical situation there would be a F2P and sub option.
This aint world of warcraft bro, its a lobby shooter. Maybe if the game was like a real MMO with free exploration/encounters/sandboxy stuff and was on the PC instead of the PS3 (which is a huge limitation to the future of the game in itself that they shouldnt have subjected it to in the first place) I might pay subscription if the price was right. But as things are now? No. Sorry.
Just some random extra thoughts:
I would not subscribe to any game that had some kind of pay to win mechanic (subscribers get cosmetic or fun stuff is fine though).
If the game was more thoroughly integrated with Eve that would be very attractive.
If the game had free roaming sandbox style game play on planets (with planetary conquest/skirmish fight style activities available as well in a sort of instanced battleground system as in world of warcraft) plus some interesting resource/trading style **** integrated with eve economy that would be cool. |

Dust 514 in it's current form: no Eve: Legion (PC) as some have imagined it with open world elements, an Eve link, and what not: maybe? Fair enough. There isn't a wrong answer to this question, folks. Well except "diarrhea". That's a wrong answer.
Oh thank god, I was just about to type "watery poo", but then what I wrote popped into my head. Whew! |

What they say and what happens when people support something enough are two different things. CCP never said, "We will never have another client-side patch." They just said something to the effect of, "At least in the near future we have no plans of releasing a client-side patch." It was carefully worded so that if they wanted to, they could. Turns out, they did. Who said "We will never have respecs." I thought the last piece of communication about respecs we got was from GM Archduke saying that if we do get respecs to watch the usual channels (dev blogs, official website, newsletter, etc.). Anyway, feel free to keep hoping that Legion will roll out on the PS4. It might, but I promise that if it does it will be post-successful Legion (PC) launch. I don't really care either way as i have both but i want DUST on the ps4 or at least the pc. And no it was said often that there will never be respecs ever and that our decisions should matter and have consequences. You must be fairly new relatively speaking. They also said that there will never be paid for bpos as it would border on p2w concerning isk. Anyone who has been here since beta can attest that the devs have made changes when enough people have supported it and if you have been here that long then why are you so clueless to this?.
The PC please. PS4 will be subject to the same problems the PS3 has now on a long enough time frame, plus I'd like the game to see mouse/KB controls since controllers are crappy as hell for FPS game control. |
