Time is a precious thing. Despite Dust being a video game, I used to not care spending 3 or 4 hours grinding, because I was having fun...Now...pssst...It's literally a waste of time.
Ambush: Ok, so here is a game mode that should be exciting right? I mean, it's titled AMBUSH...nope. It used to exciting, it used to have a lot of CQC and TTK was high back then so lots of action and battles overall. But ambush today, psst. I Q up, get into a match, spawn in, start running in a certain direction, scan...nothing, run another 50 meters in the other direction, scan...nothing, I press up on the D pad to make sure there is an enemy team...yep, run 150 meters in another direction, by now 3 minutes into the match and no one has any points, scan....finally I pick up 3 red dots running across a field. I approach them and kill one, and get an assist. I look at my HUD, where is the flow of traffic going? Everyone is running around looking for these guys, then finally...scan...I pick up 8 red dots camping the side of the mountain and think to myself...is this why CCP made these maps so large? So we can play hide and seek laser tag? So after a few seconds we kill all of them and guess what....it's back to running around and scanning. Desperately trying to find the enemy before my teammates do so I can get some kills and SP and WP's and Experience, I mean that is why we play right? Dust isn't a FPS anymore, it's a freaking marathon. Jeez.
I mean, I could understand if it was ambush OMS, because at least you could try to call in a vehicle before team quote is reached, but really...600meter maps on regular ambush??? Some people don't have time to play lengthy matches like skirmish and domination. I know some players who only have a few hours to play and your going to make them spend most of that time running around??? I mean it's sad when I hear a player say: " Well I'm done for today, gotta run some errands and go to work. It's going to take me 3 weeks to get my next proto weapon, I only got 30 kills in 2 hours and only made 15k SP." This guy spent 2 hours playing but only spent like 20mins in actual combat battles.
It's a game, players are going to kill and get killed. Shrink the maps down so we can increase the amount/probability of spending more time engaged in battles and less time running around. I spend more time holding down my L3 than my R1. There's something wrong with that picture!
I'm a try-hard, because half my team sits in the MCC.

That's not the point Mary. I'm not thinking about myself. I'm thinking about the game. Have you ever tried to not be the center of the universe before? Have you ever just looked at something and made an honest opinion out of the situation, a non biased opinion?

Why should I have too? Why can't CCP just use common sense? Again, this has nothing to do with me. I'm just observing the game from all angles.
