Since in-game assault swarm launcher stats are lacking and description for them hasn't changed, I forgot what was changed to makes them different from regular swarms. Can someone remind me what they do differently?

They lock onto two targets and split fire between them.
It's pretty pathetic, because they do negligible damage to both targets.

I can assure you that if changes were made, they weren't enough to consider.
There is no way to take this weapon seriously until it is drastically altered (either make both half shots equivalent of a full swarm shot, or to get rid of the split lock on all together and give it some RoF increase or somthing).

And it goes against the doctrine of all things "Assault". Take a look at Assault Forge Guns. More damage per shot, able continuously fire shots, and has splash damage. The Assault HMGs and Assault SMGs trade damage per shot for increased RoF or range. Assault Mass Drivers trade damage for ROF and more in the clip. And the Assault variants of all the 4 races' rifles are full auto weapons that can handle their own in CQC, increased clip size, some with faster RoF.
If anything, we should rename the "Assault Swarm Launcher" to "Lackluster Swarm Launcher".
I think we all agree something needs to be done to the Assault Swarm Launcher. An idea that just popped in my head was increased damage, slightly faster lock-on time, trade max range of swarms for faster acceleration of missiles, increased CPU and PG fitting. That way it's similar to the Assault Forge Guns.
