Nope.
I knew it was doomed to fail the moment it was announced as a PS3 exclusive (the disconnect is just too strong).
But I still held up hope that maybe, just maybe, they could pull it off; or that they would release it on PC or as a career in EVE at some point.
The moment they did the right thing, with Legion, PS3-fanboyism killed it again.
The EVE pilots were right. PS3 console players ruined their New Eden experience. I seriously feel that CCP will write this whole thing off, and never dabble with FPS again... that's as good a way as any to ruin someone's experience.

Avinash Decker wrote:The whole Eve connection thing died the moment Dust was released it was never going to happen under the current circumstances that Dust was in. It is impossible now because the focus has shifted in Dust development, the team probably do not have any resources to do an eve connection, and the Eve team do not seem interested either. People should ask themselves since the game released in May 2013 what has CCP major and minor thing they had done to connect the games and what was the last time they did. Also take in consideration that the Dust team is smaller now.
Even if Dust was on a different platform that doesn't mean any real connection was feasible. Dust was being designed for a long time, about 4 plus years and in addition to the time the game been out and CCP still didn't know how to achieve their goals. Imo it was never going happen to begin with.
Well, if Dust was an expansion to EVE instead of a separate game, that could have opened the door to a totally different type of gameplay within EVE. A whole new career choice.
If it were a separate game, but still on PC; updates, patching, and content could have been easier to keep up with, and they would have had less tape to cut through to release a major patch, update, etc. CCP developers regularly complained about the PS3's limitations. But if they started on the PC, they could have made the game they wanted, and then scaled back where necessary for a PS3 port.
Either way, CCP could have established more meaningful connections between the games, if they gave themselves the time and platform to do it on. But going on about what "could" have happened, is irrelevant at this point.

I think you need to stop drinking the Capsuleer-Cool-Aid, that stuff rots your brain man.
EVE is chugging along fine; Dust has been on life support for at least the last several months. Who's drinking whos' "cool-aid" again?
