Heres something for fun..
CCP: Hey player, I see you are proto in 3 suits and at least advanced in all weapons and have an inventory full of a thousand strongboxes and have just used two keys. Take this aurum Standard gear thats garbage compared to what you can use for a cheap sum of isk. Oh! and don't forget your extra strongboxes. Oh? You wanted keys? Well I lost them You'll have to pay the quartermaster to get more.
Now for my actual post.
Just thought of an idea. From now on I'm going to be posting the junk that I get from keys onto this thread. I will list how many decent items I get as well as how many junky items.
I want you mercs to do the same to show ccp how much junk you get out of getting keys. You pay 600 Aurum per key, or you get lucky and have a mission that MAYBE will be doable that rewards you with a key (I am considering that for after this week is over that will most likely be the case as there will no longer be a encryptor key for doing 8 missions.)
I want to make a point about the strongbox system being garbage. Since the warlords update was released, I have gotten nothing but junk from my strongboxes. I even got 2 more boxes from one of them, because CCP apparently thinks 500 strongboxes I could never hope to afford to open isn't enough for me, i need more that will just sit in my inventory collecting dust and being useless piles of poop.
So Post what you get from your strongboxes down below. Or if You like list how many you opened before you got anything you actually considered useable.

Used two this morning, got x45 'Haze' Locus Grenades and x10 'Ashborne' Scrambler rifles.
Better than the one I opened last night that had two more strongboxes in it.

I've always had a theory that officer drops are aimed towards stuff you can't use in order to encourage trading and the same sytem has been used in strongboxes. reason i say this has been that 90% of all the stuff i've received via EOM salvage and strongboxes has been stuff i have either low or no skills in.
the majority of new officer wepaons i have are...
Laser rifles (prof 2)
Mass Driver (lv1)
Sniper rifles (lv3)
Forge guns (lv1)
Shotguns (lv3)
i have at least prof 3 in each other light weapon yet barely get any of them

The only weapons I don't have skills into are shotguns and scrambler rifles
Now look at my list above. No shotguns and only one scrambler rifle
