I am a bit disappointing too in moving the faction BPOs to the market, but oh well.
EDIT: We still do have "Rare gear" though, the Quafe BPOs and BPCs are still hella rare.
i'll raise your skinweaves (full set) 3 exiles, daemon shottie and well, the crown jewel in my collection although one thing i'm after is the 'thale' gallente militia light frame BPO. dunno if ccp took it off players or not but don't see many around

in all honesty they should just be in the Loyalty point store as well as for AUR. give a bit more reason to get peopel into faction. keep them at 100k lp and 10mill isk and it'd be nice, or hell LPs and a reduced AUR cost if need be

The faction BPO's were meant as a fun feature that would allow people to gamble and have fun with it. Instead of seeing it as a rare item that were suppose to be difficult to get most people saw them as things that they NEEDED to get and to do so immediately. So yeah, a very vocal minority ruined it for everyone and basically nobody was here to argue against them because the people who actually enjoyed the update are out there playing it.
nah most people wanted them on market cos strongboxes are just a f**kin rip off lol now CCP are refining the strongboxes i wouldn't mind so much if the faction bpos were strongbox only. personally though i'd rather just spend the 22k AUR and buy it outright than mess about with keys n boxes

Faction BPO's were suppose to be special and rare. Making them available directly on the market made them no longer special.
no they were put in strongboxes to fleece the players into buying more keys in the hope of getting a 'rare' bpo.

It'd get abused too much i think. i liek the idea that they have for allowing certain slots to be changed on APEX/LP suits but for rest my bpos i just use militia gear for a fully free suit.
