While many players on this game will boast a high KDR as a barometer to measure that they are not "scrubs", many of them have a very low Win/Lose ratio. As Leadfoot10 and myself find that KDR can mean absolutely nothing as a stat he proposed that KDR x2 + W/L Ratio. for example a 1.50 KDR and a 2.50 W/L would be a 5.50 Efficiency Rating. With this in mind I agree with Leadfoot10 and would say that a player with a 5.0 or greater is a good player that you would want to have on your team. Thoughts?
I think you should find your own twinkie and pursue that for your happiness and don't worry about what other's gauge as the one almighty 'Twinkie'. As a vehicle operator, I enjoy taking a look at KDR from time to time, but my twinkie would have to be good fights, win or lose, where I kill many suits and tanks of the enemy and duel other great tanks. |

Well -- DUST offers a TON of different roles to fill. You would need to have different categories for each suit/role.
You would not compare a Tank Operator versus a Dropship Pilot, Infantry versus Vehicles, a hacker scout versus a stand and deliver heavy.
Win-to-Loss in Pubs would be tough one, especially with the random competence levels found in blueberries. |

I am doing pretty solid -- run dominations/skirms mostly. Do alright with a balanced team. My performance is on-par with what a vehicle operator needs to do, but effectiveness varies greatly from map to map and situation to situation. I can usually get a good body count by the end of the match and push points hard.
So I would consider my rating pretty solid. Good KDR mixed with solid, but lower, W-t-L ratio and I am okay by that bar, but its too linear for a game such as DUST imho.

As a vehicle operator though with solid builds, good AV can still do well at suppressing me. Without infantry to counter them, I am spending time evading picking kills off from the fringe of the group, or surprise blitz-and-runs, which are enjoyable but not effective without infantry to fill the vacuum. |
