So in a match a solid 5 minutes ago, I saw about 5 HAV's driving around, Gunnlogis and a Sica, shooting blasters at infantry the entire match, and we still lost (because our infantry sucked. I wasn't really trying that match at all, more so throwing by biomass away, and it occured to me (again) that there wasn't anything else but infantry to shoot at. No new installiations dropped through the match, no hard structures to defend or attack, nothing.
That needs to change. I didn't put this big ass turret on my HAV to shoot at infantry, nor does that make sense, or should it be like that; it's simply broken. There needs to be ways of bringing in new installations into the match (maybe make them at first easy to obtain orbital drops and make them easier to kill, and later make cheap versions that people could call in at will, but either way keep them spawning in certain places (otherwise roads would be blocked up by turrets).
Also, There should be player controlled structures (built into the map, not destroyable, but you can disable them for a period of time) that gives long term things to defend or attack. I'd love to be able to shoot at the NULL cannons to prevent them from shooting for a certain amount of time, or blow a hole in a gate to let infantry through.
Point is, more big **** needs to come so HAV's has something to shoot at, not just HAV's and infantry.

There should be a match type made where the defenders deploy in a fortified base and then attackers need to breach the base, starting with outer fortifications, then inner ones and then, finally, an infantry push into the underground bunker.

That is a extra stage added to skirmish 1.0 (and I would say not have the entire last stage underground to allow for pilots to stay relevant).
