well how about a mute? or block that actually does something =) tried the character info to get there psn id and blocked that but could still hear a constant live feed of music. didn't even really mind the music so much as the fact that couldn't talk over it pretty much. vote to kick option like Mag majority rules? and yes it can be abused some but it isn't a bad trade off in my opion.
thank's |

Yes, this.
I think the only solution to that dude, and I'm sure we are talking about the same dude, is a prayer to the Night Mother.

Yeah, my ear was bleeding yesterday because a dude called "Schweinstein". We tryed to yell at him but it seems he didnt listend or couldnt hear us. Then i figured out his PSN so i wrote him but he still dosnt give a f**k.
IDK why some people turning on theyr Voicechat when they dont even listening to it or say anything at all. Tbh i would kick them out of beta and invite other people instead, but this is just my rage opinion. |

yes hes very annoying
a change needs to be made to the blocking system
in eve a block gags the other player from contacting you in any form
it should function the same here if i have you blocked i shouldnt be able to see you type or hear you speak
i also agree that he is counter productive to testing as when he joins a match every one on whoeves side he is on leaves which unballances the match players like him need to be dealt with. yester he was blasting rap music that was very derogatory was all n this and n that
also please share his PSN name so i can add him to my PSN block list |

Sadly ppl like that are good for testing need the annoying so you can figure out how and what changes need to be made to resolve issues such as this one. Mags vote kick system would work also a mute. There also needs to be a separate coms for squad commanders like you would in eve for spies your squad only needs to know there part not the whole plan. Would be pretty easy with the set up now if you had corp channel access and just told corp everything and they relayed to eve player vie mumble or such. |

I'll have voice chat off for the most part till I have reliable folks to squad with.
Unless you folks want to hear a constant stream of "DADDY DADDY DADDY"
There's a good reason I don't put the speakers on Voice, if my kids learn to talk like a Sailor, it'll be from their Mother, and me. |

I had a guy blasting some kind of Heavy Metal into his mic the other day. Loved it; don't think I've ever played better.
That being said, I don't think I'd appreciate it so much if it were another kind of music, such as those I love to hate. Obviously a mute key would be appreciated in those circumstances, but I'm not sure it would help communications as everyone would have to use it. Still, for those that battles where nobody communicates anyway, (most of them), it's fine just to mute and let everyone make their own choice regarding that. |

+1
we need to be able to mute individuals and to identify who is speaking. Left two matches yesterday due to players using chat to fulfill their unrealized dream of becoming a DJ. Stayed in one other due to better music choice... |

Again, and I can't stress this enough, I like to see CCP implement friendly fire so that I can shoot the guy who keeps playing the music when we need the comms for coordinating. If Eve Online players have the benefit of calling out primary on their own corp mates for being disruptive, we should have that option too. |

+1 Open mics are the one thing about voice chat that I hate.
And I think I accidently had my mic on for a few matches over the weekend, until I remembered it was still on and put it on mute, so i apologise to anyone I may have annoyed with any music or sound coming through.
I also would love a push to talk option, but I think all the buttons on the controller are taken, except makybe select (haven't pushed it yet, so no idea what it does, if anything) |

I will never play for a merc team where someone chooses music over the game sound. Why play if you're going to gimp your ability to hear the gameplay? |

I think left d-pad is empty. maybe that would be a good push to talk. |

I haven't been in the beta very long so Ive had my comms off. I saw some threads about people saying new players should turn them on because people actually try to strategise. So I did just that today, and after one match of chatter I got nothing but music stream.
I stopped mid-match and turned my comms off. I turned them on in the next match and sure enough music was still being streamed through. I wont be turning them back on until there is a mute function. |

My deepest apologies, 07 I wanted to listen to voice chat but I had no idea that I was transmitting as I didn't know that my PS Eye-thing had a built-in microphone. Did hear ppl complaining about voice litter but missed my nickname apparently (until last time while it struck to me there actually IS a mic)
Situation is now fixed as I have USB head set.
(It appears by disabling the voice chat you also lose the ability to hear others - that's why I had it on in the first place).
As a comment to an another reply, I have never left a fight mid way voluntarily, those cases have been a result of the system freezing in 1 in a 3-6 fights.
Does anyone else have the freezing issue so often?
And finally still one more time, I'm terribly sorry for the disturbance.
PS: But rap music wasn't coming from me lol ;-) |
