So I bought the Vet Pack yesterday and I intend to respec to fix some of my mistakes. However, I had about 800K SP unallocated, so I decided to use it to test stuff out before I respec. I took the Min Assault to Level 3. I'm looking for some suggestions for fits, both Adv and Pro. The Pro fit I was running yesterday was:
- Boundless CR
- Mlt BP (The only Sidearm I've skilled into is Knives)
- Std Hive (Only have Level 1)
- 3x Complex Shield Extender
- 1x Enhanced Light Damage Mod (Only have Level 3)
- 2x Enhanced Ferroscale
- 2x Enhanced Reactive
Now, I'm sure that this is a bad fit; feel free to troll  I would be grateful if you could share some more effective fits. Ideally, I'd like to use the suit with a hit-and-run playstyle, but also with enough EHP to deal with most threats. I'd like the fit to be effective at slaying.

I have a dirty one for you(x once you get your skills up of course.
High slots:
3x complex damage mods
1 complex/ or enhanced shield extender (depending on how you fit it
Weapons:
Boundless combat rifle
Breach sub machine gun
Flux nades
Equipment:
Ishukone gaged nanohives/ or k-2 (depending on how you fit it)
Low Slots:
3x complex ferroscale plates
1 complex reactive plate or 1 complex armor repair/enhanced armor repair (depending on how you fit it)
Note: sometimes for laggy matches I also replace the boundless combat rifle with the ishukone assault rail rifle. Those (depending) areas are where I make changes to do such a thing. The reason being cause lag really f***s the burst fire of the combat rifle so having the fully automatic gives you a garenteed fire rate usually plus a little more range.
If you end up creating this suit one day I hope it serves you well(: |

Skill into SMG already?! Thats THE sidearm to MA and MS. At least respec into SMG with SS.
Look up Alex x, Dual SMG if your not convinced.

I too specked into a minmatar assault and it is currently at level 3 (advance). What I wanted was a scout that could take more punishment. With that in mind I fitted it so that it moves fast and also recovers fast. On the other hand I didn't need it to be super fast because what i needed was an assault role not another scout. So, my fit is as follows.
Highs:
2x shields extenders
1x shield recharger
Lows:
2x reactive plates
1x shield regulator
wepons:
bk-42
ion pistol
equipment
nano hives
Now the most important part. that is to say why did I chose this configuration? Well, the weapons is an obvious choice sine the minmatar provides a nice bonus to any projectile weapon. The ion pistol is for when i go against shield base opponent like a caldari or other minmatars. If its a regular joe or if they are far away i use the combat rifle (which ever version works for you) but, if it is a shield base opponent I want to close that -15% damage penalty of the combat rifle so i start with the ion pistol. The next question is why not replace the shield energizer for a damage mod. It is because i rather have fast shield recovery than an extra bullet worth of damage. Rarely do I die because of needing 1 extra shot so, the damage mod on this suit is not necessary. The same goes for the shields regulator. I rather recover fast. and the shields regulator reduces that down time. The final question should be why not use a ferroscale or even regular plates. Again, I want fast recovery ut I also don't want to sacrifice HP. Ergo, reactive pates gives me that healing factor and also help me with the fast recovery which i need for that second engagement.
In short I use the shields as my main defense and the armor as a buffer to seek cover. This is why I focus on the shields. Same as using a caldari anything (assault scout etc).
I do have gallente suits and the play styles are opposites. Where the minmatar and caldari play as a shoot a couple of shots and take cover the gallente dukes it out a bit more. Fit your suit to meet your playing style.

4 comp damage, 2 comp ferro, 1 comp rep, 1 enh kat

So I did my respec and Protoed the Min Assault. I tried a pretty fun fit yesterday:
- Boundless CR
- Ishukone Nova Knives
- Compact Nanohive
- 2x Complex Kincat
- 2x Enhanced Reactive
- 2x Complex Shield Extender
- 2x Enhanced Shield Extender
- M-1 Locus Grenade
I went 21/3 in a Skirm, was so funny

Try this Dreis :
High : 2x shield, 2x dmg mod
Lows : 2x ferroscales, 1x rep, 1x regulator/kincat
Boundless CR, Flaylock/SMG/Bolt, Core locus, Best hives/scanner.
You decide which module will be complex and which enchanced. Prefered complex Low modules.

You really need complex armor plates, because ferros and reactives are only useful in proto IMO.
Now, to be more efficient, you should pick 2 weapons that work in pair (1 anti-shield and 1 anti-armor). The Six kin ACR/Boundless CR + breach ScP works great if you want to keep the min bonus on that CR. But the AR + SMG/Flaylock(ftw) is also a great set up that is very efficient with the minAssault too.
You should take a look at protofits.com , there are many good fits there! I putted some of mine as well ^^

Switch to Complex Reactives and Enhanced SE. The extra HP for the extenders isn't worth the fitting costs while with the reactive plates you sacrifice 1% movement penalty with both Enh and Cpx, so use the better ones.

I was a Proto Min Ass in 1.6 , had my trusty bk-42 along with 5 damage mods and 2 militia plates.
Back when we used to have 5Highs and 2-3 lows.

I've used the Republic ADV, but used barely used it since I had low LP.
My fit was:
2 CPX Shields
1 ENH Energizer
1 CPX Reactive
2 ENH Regulators
BK-42 (Never used it before making this fit, so I thought of trying it out)
SMG (forgot which)
Fuse Locus 
Probably a nanohive?
When it comes to shields, I like having short delays more so than quick sprint speeds. |

useless idea...what is he going to do when he gets to his opponent? Give his opponent a free second of shots while he switches to his scrambler pistol, then another free second IF he survives to switch to his CR
the CR does more damage to shields than the scrambler pistol.

Effective, especially at those CQC fights. Have been saved millions of times with my complex repair mod instead of my Kin Cat.

I've found a pretty comfortable fit, but I will also try some of the fits posted here. The fit I was using yesterday:
- Boundless/Six Kin CR
- Standard Vanilla/Breach SMG
- Standard Hive
- 1x Complex Kincat
- 1x Enhanced Ferroscale
- 2x Enhanced Reactive
- 3x Complex Shield Extender
- 1x Complex Light Damage Mod
- Core Locus Grenades
I had a lot of success with this fit, getting 30+ kills in several matches, but I'd like to know what you think of it.
