I started using this today, and now I'm wondering how many people will migrate to that fine-ass piece of tech when they realise just how frikkin' awesome that thing is!
Stay at the Level 2 variant though, moving to the ADV Breach ScP is pointless for that extra 7.5 damage, considering it's four times the price. By all means skill up though, extra round per level? Yes please!

The Breach ScP has always been fantastic. I agree that the extra round in each clip is worth every SP, while the added ISK and fitting cost of the adv and proto versions are rarely worth the menial performance gains.

I'm just running it on a speed Dragonfly scout, and barely using my primary weapons. Seems to be ridiculously good at cqc. It's like a shotgun but without the spread and low rof.

I've been heavily invested in all three of them for years, generally my go-to weapons on my main. The standard Breach was made an outlier in terms of CPU a few patches back for no reason I ever saw explained.
1. The Breach uses 28 CPU. The Scrambler RIFLE uses 29. I could understand if we were talking about a beam Laser pistol, as at least it'd correspond to the LR's massive CPU requirement.
2. The vanilla and Assault use 12 and 16 CPU, and again, the Breach uses 28. That's 133% more than vanilla, 75% more than Assault. At advanced, The TY-5 uses a "mere" 33% more CPU than the KLO-1 and CAR-9, ~11% more than the TT-3.
3. The pistol that defines the Breach archetype in Dust, the Bolt Pistol, uses just 15 CPU + 3 PG.
4. The other Breach variant sidearms, the BSMG and BFP, share fitting costs with their vanilla counterpart at all levels (where applicable).
Reality is the original Rorschach.

Migrate? You're a buck and a half short son that gun has always been proper. Now ccp give us a proto so I can rock that matte black.

It took me a long time to get into sidearms. I was a Logi for so long. Then I went minja, then min assault with flaylock.

I'm going to assume you meant "Popular" instead of proper. I've never actually been killed by one, or seen it on the killfeed, except under my name ofc. It's always the vanilla adv variant.
