The problem I am having is I am constantly being put up against the top players and most organized squads: Delta Blitzkrieg, OhAGirl, F 1000, Kaizuka Sniper and his gang. I am constantly being put up against these people all while being matched up to a team in which half the players are useless. I thought there was supposed to be something called a MU or whatever that tries to match up the teams based on relative skill level and performance so that everything isn't so 1 sided. My biggest problem with this game right now isn't protostompers or highly organized squads, it's CCP and how they match up players to a team.

All the proto vets come out of the woodwork, signing in all at the same time on in the first few days of the update to see what the fuss is about. Once they get their fill they will return to their regular routine and the beatings will subside. AKA - StarVenger- Horizons' Edge

The problem is with such a large percentage of solo players. How can matchmaking account for that if there is one squad in the queue and 26 solo players? If the team without the PC super squad pulls up the screen pre-match, they just decide to snipe before the match even starts. I'm selling Templar Codes. 2 of 5 remaining. 225 mil ISK. But it's more fun than being on the side with the blueberries that aren't doing anything. So if I get to stomp the crap out of a team once every 10 matches after feeling like I need to be able to kill 5 people at a time from all directions, I'll take it with a smile on my face. Both sides were fighting. No one was caring about kd. I REALLY enjoyed first day of Warlords. But then again I solo. I don't go 6 deep of proto stompers. I cut you up so bad.... You gonna wish I no cut you up so bad.

Right but you would expect there to be some mix up so two stomping Squads don't consistently up on the same bloody team. Or, the game would go "hmm, this team composition seems to be winning fairly hard; let's scramble it up a bit." Though the problem is likely more that 4 people doing very well can consistently pull 8 people with no coordination or care to victory. How to fix that when it usually doesn't happen in other FPS that I have played, who knows... "This is B.S! This is B.S! I paid money! Cash money, dollars money, cash money!"

No auto-mechanic in a game can properly judge the "best" place to plop you on the map based on numbers or objective locations, etc. The situation AT THE MOMENT has to be JUDGED TACTICALLY (what machine can do that for you??) Anti-deployment into Battles Already Ending. What IS a "battle that's already lost or over"? We can easily tell a fight that's not worth joining (the logic is in how many reserves left PER how many minutes until an MCC blows---no, it's still a salvageable fight if I can help my team hack Objective A back---or when all the Nulls are red, and the map has blue uplinks all OVER the place, and both MCCs are 0% Shields and 50% damaged. We all agree, right?...) How does a "computer" judge when a fight is nearly ended? (60% completed, maybe a computer can judge, but not a "nearly ended" battleGÇª do we want the game to lock us out of a match simply because it's 60% done?). Matchmaking by Scotty. A good, "even" match will be determined by sometimes which team was more cohesive, sometimes by whether the good uplink player decided to run uplinks or try HAVs this match, sometimes whether Celesta had a really crappy day at work today and really just feels like shooting at everything that moves instead of focussing on helping win this match, sometimes whether a really good vet player chose to run his barely-used alt character tonight,GÇª. sometimes on any combination of these factors. What machine (or Scot) can even detect any of these factors---yet they play a role in EVERY match you jump into. Part of the beauty of being human, is that your mind and behaviour will constantly stupefy any machines trying to measure and match you. Just like in the online matchmaking sites, the website "machinery" can only do 45% of the work for you, and to make it successful YOU have to meet the other person halfway and MAKE it work. (YUCK) But that's kinda the fun of a combat game too! All the Scotty/Auto/Balancer/matchmaker jazz is only going to help you 50% of the way. Beyond that, you are a DUCK being thrown into the water----you have to "judge" the situation super-slick fast, and contribute the remaining 50% in a way that can profit you and profit your (sometimes, yuck) team. GÇªI know it's not what we want to hear in a PS3 game we're hooked on (we want automation so we can rack up kills in every match and never get butchered in a hopeless skirmish). It's only going to frustrate you to dream that Dust will ever give you luxuries like pristine-balancing, and completely fair-n-even chess matches. Universe of good wishes for the 49, especially CCP Eterne... No story can have life without writers and publishers.

Don't get me wrong, I'll throw everything into a battle to help my team win but today I quit two Dom matches in quick succesion as I wasn't doing too well. In the first one I was down 0-6 in minutes. But on the other hand, I've been on opposite team countless times so I should't complain. Just wish teams were well balanced as oppossed to the recent stomps.

A game mode where squads aren't allowed; Just like there used to be the choice of ambush or ambush OMS, ambush and skirmish that forbid squads to join could be added. It would be an escape from organized proto stompers, people could run solo without being beaten into the ground. For battles where squads are allowed, an organised team on both sides would become more likely.

This, coupled with how common prototype stomp squads are, makes the average player at a constant disadvantage. Would you want to keep pushing objectives when the odds are against you and you can receive higher profit with less risk on the fringes of the battle with 'safe' warpoints?

I had this as well today, ran like 4 matches i think, and 2 were really close losses, with the 3rd being a skin of our teeth win, and the 4th being a stomp(against us)... Against 6 0.H pub stomp squads i went 15/3 knifing several including Radar Against Kaizuka i just aim to kill him, using everry OHK weapon there is apart from the shotgun looking for PC corporation also looking for lonely heavies to knife >:) heavies looking for me

But, when one side has10-12 players in a squad, and the other side has. 10-12 NPC corp noobs... Winning is predetermined by matchmaking. Your individual performance however, is not. Each match i would have been top 3 for team, if i was a blueberry or god forbid afking, i would by averages at least gotten some victories. But i also have a hunch that MU almost works weekly, because the previous week had a good win loss, and last week a horrid w/l. And so far this week it has actually been rather kind to me. If your good team meets another good team, that has more experience, SP and ISK to burn, youre still graped. So is it worth it? Say I could gather a bunch of friends, convince them to play dust in a squad for the first time, would we have a chance in a stomp? OF COURSE NOT. So no teamwork is not everything.
