You kidding? I love getting into matches where the enemy team has full squads of high end corps and I get stuck with 10-12 blueberries with the fighting capability of a soggy biscuit.
If it was all just random, I would just accept my crappy luck, but I don't like the feeling that CCP is intentionally giving me the shaft.

Don't worry OP you where awful at dust before the patch too.
You should be glad the matchmaker is letting you play or you would have to wait 4 days for it to find players bad enough for you 2 fight =ƒÿå=ƒÿå.

Matchmaking can't predict how you chose to play.
But, when one side has10-12 players in a squad, and the other side has. 10-12 NPC corp noobs...
Winning is predetermined by matchmaking. Your individual performance however, is not.

The game punishes you for doing well solo. Last week i lost 9 matches in a row. Each match i would have been top 3 for team, if i was a blueberry or god forbid afking, i would by averages at least gotten some victories. But i also have a hunch that MU almost works weekly, because the previous week had a good win loss, and last week a horrid w/l. And so far this week it has actually been rather kind to me.

For me almost every match I played was pretty well balanced. Had 1-2 stomps out of about 10 matches. Thats definitely better than before.
But then again I have 30 mio SP. Dunno if I am just another pampered high SP player now...
The answer to your complaint is PvE. Always.

You mean ... with DUST players? Youre crazy!
About teamwork: If youre in a noob team that never played together before, youre even more ****** than going solo. At least if you care for the noobs.
So you need not only a team, you need a team that plays regularly. And, at the end of the day, you dont only need a regular meeting team, you need people you LIKE playing with.
BUT even if you have a likeable, regularly meeting team. If your good team meets another good team, that has more experience, SP and ISK to burn, youre still graped.
So is it worth it? Say I could gather a bunch of friends, convince them to play dust in a squad for the first time, would we have a chance in a stomp? OF COURSE NOT. So no teamwork is not everything.
Oh BTW: Would all be no problem with PVE ... hint hint hint ... y'know the thing that made MMOs such a nice collaborative experience ... hint hint hint
