I dont care about KDR. I view it as just a number that get padded to make your d*ck look bigger. Instead lets replace it with WP:Death ratio.

Wow, we already have the standings at the end of the match showing the players with the highest WP. I dont see the point in such an unnecessary feature when we have other pressing matters. And seriously cut down on the cursing, it makes it hard for someone to take you seriously.

wpdr would be as bad as kdr is.
In dust the only thing they can do to make it more precise is to make separate kdr [and maybe also another ratio] for pubs, FW and PC.

So you want people to pad a WP ratio the exact same way? I don't understand you people who view a KDR as a useless stat. In a game where you can lose a match due to clone depletion you would think common sense would tell you that KDR matters.
KDR and W/L ratio should be viewed together in determining whether or not you or someone else sucks (exception granted to logis ONLY).

OH PLEASE STOP! The MAG forum had many upon many of these "best ratio" posts and nothing good came of it. In fact, the forums were closed and the game was taken offline. Face it, K/D and W/L are the standard and always will be.

Look, most DUST players are already on the side of KDR being something that doesn't matter in this game. A Sniper may only get 2 or 3 kills a match but they won't die so their KDR can be inflated. Same goes for exceptionally good ADS pilots. A Sentinel defending the point is nothing without his Logistics support repping him at over 100 HP a second. We all know this, we accept this, so why does anyone want it gone? Honestly, it is like asking NORAD to stop 'tracking' Santa every year.
But let's play a game:

You see, the PROPER way of measuring is (length*girth)/yaw^pitch, NOT (lenght^2*yaw^girth)/pitch because it produces a MUCH more biased result (also because it makes me seem inferior). |

hiding it??? whats to hide. I have a 0.75KDR whoopdee-f*cking-doo. Does that mean I suck? I dont believe so, but a new player coming from games where that is the only stat to showcase might. I believe thats one of the many reasons that we cannot keep new players

What is your win/loss ratio? Seeing how you can lose every match in this game due to the depletion of your teams clones I think one should view both (KDR and W/L) to determine if someone sucks.
I have played this game for 9 months now using the Gallente Assault Suit with an Assault Rifle (solo player the entire time, never squaded up) charging into battle every reasonable chance I get and I am sitting with a 2.17 KDR and a 1.16 W/L ratio. Those stats let me know that I don't suck at this game and that I can be a benefit to anybody I happen to team up with. |

You're setting a pretty high KDR standard for a lot of the logis out there. |

You can only view those stats for the top 1000 people and there is no search feature to pinpoint the stats of someone specific (if you search for a specific player and click on the "show info" tab the only information you will get is their PSN name which is useless). I am not able to view the life time KDR, WP, or W/L ratio for 98% of the people who are assigned to my team or the enemy team. |

You can view those stats for anyone in your corp, and anyone in your contact list. So add them mercs and watch how they do.

Not really. I know 1.8 is mediocre I run with cats who have 5.4 and whatnot. I'm not a slayer, not even a good shot, but what I am is smart, the more I die, the less time I'm on the field leeching wp. I don't do suicide revives,reps, or anything. I always kill at least 1 or 2 ppl Before I die.
