You may have noticed that there are no prototype burst or breach Scr pistols,while the smg,for example, has all variants prototyped. Is there a reason for this? if so can someone please tell the clueless soul over here?

Interestingly enough, when they were originally posting the numbers for weapon changes many many moons ago, it showed they actually had the numbers/stats laid out for all variants across every tier (this was the case with Scr Pistols, but also other things like STD Scr Ass Rifles). Players got all excited about it, and were like "finally!". Some of that stuff had also shown up in the data dumps too, so it was like confirmation. So, it was, in the midst of that rebalancing, CCP descended into the thread and said, "Yeah.... we're not actually adding those, they were left on the spreadsheet by mistake." Twas very sad. The Dren Swarm fiasco.

I mean as long as you have the skills for said weapons

At least, when someone posted a list of "missing" things from the market, Rattati acknowledged it: here. I was referring more to the fact that apparently they had/have data for ALL variants at ALL tiers. This came up earlier, here. So, on the data side, they have stats STD, ADV, and PRO everything. It's just the in-game that's lacking. Interesting that we eventually got MLT versions of everything though. The Dren Swarm fiasco.
