Suggested Balance Items, ranked:
* Kill stomps ASAP; reduce squad size to 4 (or) introduce pubmatch meta locks * Fix the HMG and the Heavy Blob * Swap Assault movement profile with Logi; the former is OP and the latter UP * Grant Commandos +1 Slot, +PG/CPU (and maybe +movement/sprint speed)
Other Gameplay Improvements:
* Stabilize framerate; reduce texture quality if necessary; close chats while deployed * Implement inertia or otherwise remedy the wiggle-wiggle * Smooth the catches in walls/terrain or (if possible) retool collision models * Reduce strongbox pickup rates; increase key pickup rates

I think the Logis need quite a bit more love than just a speed increase. Hopefully Ratatti will get around to looking at Cross Atu's proposal sooner than later, it's long overdue.

>_> there is far more to be fixed with the Logi that has nothing to do with the repair tool. Just take a look at the slot progression from STD to PRO for each race and try not to get a headache.

You and Cross know far better than I, Pokey. Though I stand by my position. There should be a tradeoff between tank and speed; swapping Assault and Logi speed profiles corrects the speed/tank paradigm. More meaningful improvements to the Logi should be withheld until such time that the Heavy/Logi Blob no longer dominates PC and competitive matches.

Hmmmm Im not sure if more speed specifically is the issue per say. I think perhaps for Logis superior stamina to make them mobile, but lower sprint speed than Assaults. It allows them to keep up with the group, but doesn't offer much in terms of a direct combat advantage of burst movement speed. But that's just my take on it.

How about making Logistics suits like Pseudo Commandoes but in Medium frame? Similar eHP, similar speed, BUT having all same equipment slots and only 2 side arm slots.
And you guys can't whine about side arms being crap now. The Bolt Pistol and Breach SMG seem like a very good combo to keep anyone alive.

Having 2 side arm slots is way better than having one Light Weapon slot. Having similar eHP to Commandoes (maybe a lil lower) while having similar speed (maybe a lil faster) all while being able to carry all their equipment AND still be in the Medium Frame suit would make them better.

At what level of play do heavy blobs appear? I was playing for about two hours today, mainly Skirm and Dom, and pretty much the only heavies I saw had forge guns, and that was only once I'd started running a tank. I'm not sold on swapping medium suit speeds either, but I'm all for your other suggestions.

1. Replacing 2 players from a match won't reduce stomping. 1a. Putting 50-100mil SP players in STD/ADV gear won't kill stomping either.
2. Sentinel Dropsuits are fine, nerfing them will most likely give ADSs an unfair advantage in V/AV combat. 2a. The HMG however, does need adjustments.
3. Assault Movement speed is fine, them being slower would make them fodder. 3a. Giving logistics more speed encourages slaying over support, giving them more HP than an Assault is a better idea.
4. That's a band-aid which does little to solve any of the issues with Commandos.

All sidearms are just smaller, less effective versions of a Light Weapon counterpart, there is literally nothing a sidearm can do that a Light weapon can't so (Save maybe nova knives but....Logi with NK lol). So what advantage does having multiple sidearms offer? It's not like a Commando where it allows you to run AV and AP at the same time, as there are no true AV sidearms. I can only use one weapon in a given moment, so my instantaneous combat effectiveness goes down as I'm downgraded to a sidearm. As for added flexibility from having 2, how does that really work? Aside from some slight difference in range the only significant differences in sidearms is if it's a pistol or an SMG. It's not like a Commando where weapon types can vary greatly such as a Sniper Rifle and an ARR, or a Combat Rifle and a Mass Driver, or an Plasma Rifle and a Plasma cannon.
Trading a light weapon for 2 sidearms is a straight up nerf to the combat effectiveness of the Logi. I'll keep my Light Weapon, thank you.
