Here is a transcript of the secret Dev Development meeting for Warlord 1.0 (German accents were added for effect)
CCPToady: Sir I tink zee players have fee-gured out that the Encrypted Stongboxes are a scam. No one is buying zee keys anymore. Vhat are we going to do?
CCPMidas: Fear not little toady I have devised a NEW scheme to get zee players to buy zee aurum! I call it zee warbarge. Players can upgrade their warbarges to do mostly pointless things, but zomevhere down the line we promise them something useful, but don't tell them where, or tell them exactly how manzy upgrades it will take. Zey may only upgrade very slowly unless they buy componets for zee aurum.
CCPToady: Oh zou mean like one of those sthupid phone games?

Someone I know spend 120k aururm and got nothing useful out of it. Well 1 random officer weapon a day, but for $50 not worth it.

lol. I am that somone he knows.
I'm level 5 warbarge. The isk and skill point upgrade isn't worth it. But the component production is. Aswell as the damage mod and experimental weapon one.

I am very disappointed with ccp that they decided to take this route of locking content behind a timewall. If i want to wait in order to enjoy a part of the game which is the experimental lab, id go play star trek trexels.

Good point Kalante. I don't mind spending aurum yo purchase parts. I do mind spending aurum to get rid of a cool down.

if player trading was out. I open strongboxes and get 1 Aldin's FG and 7 BONS-SIN 7 shotguns
