I can confirm that the extender bonus is 10% at LvL 5.
You might be thinking of the first days of racial logi's, when the Calogi had a 25% bonus to extenders at max skill.

Don't look at modules in a vacuum.

Sequal's Back wrote:As I said in a recent thread, they should get buffed to 85 base HP (so without the passive included). They would give 93HP and be worth their huge PG/CPU price (compare them to ferroscale, it's scary).
For now, I only use them if I already fitted everything I wanted on my suit and have some room left for better extenders. Refer to the above post.

Don't look at modules in a vacuum. shield extenders also have a recharge penalty so you would have to fit those energiser thingy that no one hardly ever uses in low slots .
and all suits now have innate rep so you don't *have* to fit an armor repairer.
and the compact hive can easily compensate, or a dedicated logi. but that is not my point, my point is why the dramatic increase in pg from enhanced to proto (i don't armor tank so could someone tell me if there is a dramatic increase from enhanced plates to proto plates?) if not the dramatic increase from enhanced to proto shields is not justifiable.

The thing is that before, enhanced shield extenders were ridiculous (33ish HP per module), so the PG cost was justified (nearly twice the PG cost for twice the HP). Then CCP realised how crappy the enhanced and basic extenders were and buffed them, but they forgot to adapt the costs to make the proto module worth of the extra resources required to fit it |
