Not sure if that is feasible...but I'd like to give my opinion that the dark mood maps are hard to play on. Can't see tanks....and forget about cloakers.
Shield tanking is hard mode /period.

I just posted about this issue as it is highly relevant to sniper abilities. My OP is hereSamantha Hunyz wrote: 4) Bad lighting and Sounds
B) All of the smoke haze effects prevent rendering severely. Unless my scope is actually on a player, no chevrons no bodies appear. You can see why this is bad I would have to assume. Every other match this makes any full time sniper sit on their useless hands.
These moods are bad for rendering, and affect many play styles. piloting dropships feels like everything is slowed down, and aiming from any distance is cumbersome. These moods just need to be removed.
When I look down my scope, all I see are dead people.

In my opinion the moods make the maps come alive. I strongly disagree.

The issue is that they induce more issues to already hard to use weapons types, as well as vehicle. This reduces efficiency to levels of non- viability which reduces the fight your own way any mentality that drives this game. They do look sweet tho.

Um no. If you guys look at the Dust keynote back in 2012, this is all part of the game.
You were never meant to use your favorite gun/suit/vehicle in ALL maps.
In that keynote it is mentioned that one day they hope to make it so that on Desert moods, certain guns (onea that overheat) would be rendered useless because all guns that have a heating mechanic woulf be overheating in just a few shots. So HMG, SCR, Ion Pistol, Laser Rifle would be rendered completely useless in a Desert mood/map.
And if it was a snowy/icy mood, your mobilty would be slower but weapons with heating mechanics would shine in this mood as it will take a lot of time for them to overheat.
So stop complaining. Dust is not your average FPS where every single map has the same visibilty. That stormy mood where sniping and flying dropships is rendered difficult because of intense levels of fog? Yeah, working as intended.
That Volcano mood screwing up with your Dust PTSD making you think a redberry is nearby? Working as intended.
That dark mood making hard to see, especially cloaks? Working as intended.
Please, Dust was meant to play out like this. It was meant to stand out from every other FPS thanks to little features like this. But the CoD and BF type QQing is turning this game around.
Hell, most Skirmishes nowadays play like an oversized Domination mode on CoD, where it was meant to be tactical. Now people just run around everywhere and kill you in less than a second thanks to speed suits and weapons like the ARR and CR.
Changes to Damage mods!

Buwaro I just want Dust to have playable FPS, some of the map + mood + socket combinations makes me just leave the match because they feel unplayable... hell even flying over the Gallente Lag Facility without any of the fancier moods feels like flying through sludge with controls feeling more than just a little bit unresponsive / severely delayed response.
I would like Dust to have moods with modifiers but I'd would rather have FPS than play a slideshow.

I think that makes it more interesting. On the bright side, have you tried sniper on those maps? If you heat snipers, you should love that dark mood. |

It's one thing to "play your way" by choosing your weapons and equipment is certainly cool but you have to accept in Dust you are a merc you take public contracts from employers. You don't get to choose where you fight, they tell you where they need you and you go there.

Most map and sockets only require either a CRU hacked or decent placed uplinks as is to render long range combat null. This already happens at least (lol.pulling number out of my rear for dramatic effect) 95% of the time. Add any mood onto this and you are basically just afking.

Huh, I've always found the opposite to be true. The brighter the mood, the more transparent the cloak.
I want the pitch black nighttime moods back, balls to this inexplicable ambient lighting. At least let me look up and see the stars again.
Reality is the original Rorschach.
Verily! So much for all that.
