-Swings his arm around in circular fashion and then THROWS RATTATI A CURVE BALL!!!- I'd love to be able to use a Proto Small Blaster on an LAV knowing that it will be safely and firmly parked where I placed it as a mobile turret instead of being driven off by some idiot who has no concept of boundaries.
Indeed. I often used to use Small Rail Turrets on my Missile Tank for those instances where I could not hit AV in cover however occasionally a Blue Dot would hop into the Driver's seat and attempt to move us or use my turret which would result in the destruction of my 500,000 ISK vehicle.
A couple of players can comment on a particularly great "rage filled spiel" of mine from one AFW match where a blue dot too my tank and died to a Blaster Installation. CeeJ above was there he knows.

Because sometimes you have to get ot of your tank with an HMG when your ion cannon cannot for it's like kill a militia starter fit. Maybe if vehicles were actually good, we wouldn't have to get out of the tank to kill infantry. Also, when hacking points while you park your LAV or you get out to drop an uplink on a roof.
That's absolutely filthy. If you do that..... just plain disgusting sir.

I certainly would not.
I want to be able to use small turrets if necessary and be assured no one will take my vehicle, or ensure only my squad mates can use my tank because we have a plan for it.
I don't think CCP should cater to or give tankers the impression that their vehicles is a single seater. We should be encouraged to fit small turrets and to use them for and in conjunction with our team.

How do you die to a Blaster Installation in a rocket tank...
I dunno but he did. Flipped my hardeners while firing rockets at infantry and then rolled out onto the street. Basically I spent the next 45 seconds commentating to my squad how stupid this guy was as he panic fired his missiles every chance he got instead of waiting until he had is 12 again and destroying the turret.
Hell I wasn't going to leave my own vehicle I was going down with it.

I hear a lot of talk about playing two roles simultaneously when it comes to BW, but tankers seem to think it is their due. They also list their lack of agility and versatility yet they are able to wear the exact dropsuit I am wearing. They are now complaining that they want to do this with no risk to their own asset.
This however is different. Yes I can wear the same dropsuit as you and from a tactical stand point that is a boon......however that means I am then unnecessarily risking more isk than I need to.....however that's besides the point.
And HAV or any vehicle for that matter is simply a tool to be used on the battlefield, and a very expensive tool, one of which the functionality can be very easily usurped by another player. This tool like any other on the battle field has and owner one who put SP into the role, one who put ISK into fielding it, and one who put time into learning to utilise it correctly.
One of the major issues with the fact that vehicles don't have locks is that anyone can simply walk in a take the damn thing without even having the required skills to use it, and very quickly cost the owner a large amount of their ISK. If the costs of such vehicles were levied against the play who took the vehicles and paid out to the owner to cover their investment the issue wouldn't be a problem.
Unlike in say Battlefield 4 when some jackass nicks off in a tank without knowing the controls, or a helicopter being the more common one (even I'm guilty of especially when learning to fly) they do cost their team an asset but not personal assets almost required to effectively play the game. That tank will randomly respawn....the lost HAV will not.
