Ok so, as just about anybody who has actually used the damn thing knows, its complete junk and serves absolutely no purpose.
It currently does less DPS and has less damage per clip than the regular variant, and has splash damage so low that it cant even destroy equipment.
Based on this, and some recent statements by Ratman (will look for them soon, hes looking at AV sidearms) im proposing the breach variant gets reworked into more of an AV weapon.
The proposal is:
100% damage to vehicles
Maybe a light buff to damage
6 shot clip
current splash
current rate of fire (MUCH slower than regular flaylock)
I see squads or moderately organized blueberries (HA!) using these in groups to kill tanks, and its definitely going to take more than 1 clip as it does just over1300 damage before it has to reload, so even LAVs are safe from just one person using it.
Terribad fire rate and DPS makes it borderline useless vs infantry, but clip size atleast allows for some skillshots to defend yourself |

Seems a waste of time to convert a bad weapon into a bad AV weapon.
Why not instead just make it a decent weapon?

How about increasing dmg and magazine size and bring it on par dps-wise with scr pistol or bolt pistol, but remove splash altogether? |

I use it a lot
Missile travel speed is what I think it needs. I've died before my missile hits my target more times than I can countGǪ sometimes resulting in me killing them after my death. (while amusingGǪ not exactly what we are looking for in a weapon)
ROF is fine
I think the clip size is okay.
Drop the PG to zero
Direct damage is greatGǪ much higher than even the Core
Also ADV and Proto versions would be nice.

AV or not, what really kills it is the clip size, the current state of strafing combined with its travel time and low rate of fire.
I just thought making it AV would work since CCP is already looking at making some sidearms AVish. I remember something about ion pistol charged shot, will have to find the post. |

i disagree, it desperately needs a buff, its inferior to the regular variant in just about every way except alpha. ask the plasma cannon how high alpha at the expense of everything else is working out. |

Make the splash similar to the others in ratio of direct damage/splash. The RoF penalty will keep it from being too gross.
Bring the magazine from 2 to 3.
Done.

It works for the Plasma Cannon because it has tiers.
Shooting at proto suits and landing both shots on Proto suits though and not killing them is ridiculous though. It's only ridiculous because it's only a standard weapon. We need an advanced and Proto version.
