Well after finally getting my pc put together and trying out ps2, all I can say is I wish Dust and ps2 would make a baby and call it Legion.
Ps2 is very pretty, especially at 70fps in 1080p. But it feels like a massive scale CoD. Fluid movement, but that could also be from way better framerate. No real character progression. Just focused on being nothing but a shooter, if that makes sense? Maybe depth is a wrong term to use, but Dust's skill tree, character progression, and variety of fits makes for a way better game, just severely handicapped by the ps3's incapabilities.
Now that I'm getting a good taste for what the modern games are like, I'd hate to never see Legion. There is such a good concept with this game it just needs to be re-conceptualized on modern hardware. |

I'm sure as I spend more time playing I'll become aware of more of the game functions. Hell I wouldn't even know how to go about joining an outfit. Sometimes I hear people on coms, sometimes I don't. Is your mic live to the entire team, or just on area your at, or just in proximity? I really need to find a good write up on it. Watched a bunch of youtube on it but any beginner guides i've seen are just a simple run through.
Is there a way to send mail or where's the damn player list? I had one dude last night stickin with me and playing smart. Damn good logi, I wanted to at least thank him somehow, but couldn't navigate the menu's properly enough to do so.
Whatever, its fun and to answer the op, it has made me less active in Dust. I still play a few games now and again, and have a ton of fun when I do because there are still things that this game got right. CCP needs to not forget about Legion. Hire a few more people and just knock Legion out. Pull an H1Z1 and other games and charge for early access. I'd pay the minute it went live.
Dust will die eventually, sad only if we never see it moved to another platform. Say what you want about countries who are just now getting ps3s, the major portion of any video game playerbase have or are making the move to greener pastures. CCP just needs to catch up or get left in the Dust (I couldn't help it). |
