The basics basically is I wanna use forge guns for av and go gal assault galmando min logi but everyone keeps telling me go min assault minmando cause the acr is op but my problem with it is it kicks alot for me and i think its better to run a shield and armor weapon not both armor or both shield minus the galmando cause the only other light weapon i like is mass driver but i wont have enough to skill it right when i get my respec |

As you know, it has the largest amount of high slots for a Sentinel so Complex Damage Mods will be your friend.
As for the debate between GalMando and MinMando, I'll have to ask why are you considering these options when you have the CalSent to fill the AV role for you? Commandos are skill point intensive, often requiring one to max his or her fitting skills to really be effective. If you have not already filled out your core skills, then stick with an Assault suit for now. There is not much reason to have a Commando except for overwatch and vehicle denial by use of swarms, but even then, a Sentinel with an FG could do the same.
Now for Assaults, people are recommending the Minmatar because it simply works. Its balanced 4/4 slot layout at Proto enables one create many diverse fits. You'll always be working with the fastest medium frame in-game as its sprint and strafing speeds can almost match those of the Scouts, except you'll have an edge with 200+ more eHP.
Also, you don't have to limit yourself to two weapons that are both shield or armour based. My MinAssault uses the ACR in its primary and the Breach Scrambler Pistol in its sidearm slot. The BScP is often used as an opener that requires only a few shots to deplete the shields out of even the tankiest of Cal suits. This usually leaves little work for the ACR.
Now, I understand you have problems with the ACR's kick, but this can be easily remedied by firing the weapon in bursts: similar to that of the standard CR. Typically, the intense kick is only noticeable when trying to engage an enemy at 50 or so meters for an extended period time. I wouldn't recommend you do this unless you already have your opponent down to armor. A better tactic would be to reposition yourself and get closer or flee from the firefight altogether. However, in CQC kick should be no problem for you. The ACR at close range really is a spray and pray weapon and with the MinAssault's bonus, you'll be able to spray for even longer durations of time: hopefully enough to drop any opponent you're engaged with.
Finally, we have the GalAssault. It can be played similarly to the MinAssault but most players will recommend that you fit it with armor reps or reactives, maybe a couple of damage mods, and perhaps even a kincat. This suit can be tanked out slightly more than a MinAssault but more often will rely heavily on squad play to make it work efficiently. You're weapons will be outranged or within the range of armor destroyers such as the RR and HMG, so speed and reps will help you continue fighting if you can make use of effective cover.
If in a squad, you'll want to have the support of a logi who can take time away from following the fatass around in order to help you recover some health. With the proper backing, a GalAssault will be a staying force as a frontline combatant.
In all, everything comes down to personal choice and preference. We can help by stating the objective, but what ultimately matters is what you want. If you think Commandos are cool, go for them. Just know that they'll require some heavy SP investments. If you want to play a GalAssault with an AR, go for it, but also be aware that the suit bonus isn't all that great and that your weapons lack range. Pick and play what you like. |

Any heavy suit can fit a forge gun. The amarr are probably the worst at it for lack of high slots (damage mods.) The min/caldari are probably the best choices, though the gal is ok too. Speccing a sentinal purely for forge gun is kind of silly though. Trust me I've done it. I have the min sentinal at lvl 4, and I only use it for a forge gun. Luckily, I have enough SP to throw around, if you have less than 20m SP total, I wouldnt suggest it.
The mass driver is a fun weapon, I've been a hardcore masshole since beta. That being said, it is still fairly situational. I dont suggest running it full time as your main weapon. All the rifles are in a fairly decent place now. CR and RR are king right now because of the armor meta in pubs, but that seems to be changing now. I see ScR and AR doing fairly well against the now abundant ck.0 and mk.0. Best advice, try them all at mlt level and see what you like best. Pick a suit based off of your primary weapon after you figure it out. The commandos are not great right now, and probably not best for newer players. Logis are also kind of "hard mode" right now. They are VERY SP intensive and have a very low survival rate.
You need to start with a good "all around" suit, something versatile. The assaults seem to be that suit right now, though they dont have the best bonuses. The great thing about assault, is it is easy to spec into your racial logi afterwards. Another route is to go with sentinal (both forge and hmg,) and you can spec into your racial commando easily afterwards as well.
No one can tell you what will be best for you. You have to figure these things out on your own. After you have decided, others can help you get better (fittings, tactics, ect.)
'Sault AK.0 - Logi AK.0 - Logi GK.0 - Scout GK.0 - 'Mando MK.0 - Masshole in every sense of the word.

If you have trouble with the ACR, force yourself to use a burst variant for a week or two. It might suck at first, but once you are earning the same WP you were before and go back tithe assault variant... Holy kitten. |

I am planning on buying a respec tonight like in the next hour and I have almost 50mil sp when in a squad i always have a logi either for the meat grinder for my heavy or in more open maps i use my logi i never use and assault execpt when im solo play i prefer ar over acr and forge over swarm i plan to get the cal sentinel for forging but first im getting my armarr or gal sentinel not sure on which yet its just i like to use the smg for my sidearm so i figured a shield weapon would work for my primary and i dont like scrambler i just wanted to know if i should skill whats op or do what i like honestly |

Im not new but thank you for helping im about to hit 50mil lifetime im bout to buy a respec withon the next hour if you read my response to lt youll see what i basically want i was looking more for the moral support of do what you find fun then the everyday spec whats op thing |

If your going cal sent, i like my cal commando pretty well, rr and Arr do well from the bonus, but not alot can survive the proto sniperifle on a :) ck.o with the dmg mods and lvl 5 commando.
Every commando k.o, every weapon at adv or above. Don't give a damn bout my kdr, I will kill you.

That will give you good shield killing power at a variety of ranges, and a lot of armor killing power at a variety of ranges.
If you are stand and deliver then put on a comp. rep and a comp. plate. Put in a damage mod and get to hurting people. |

The gk.o is fun with good reps and i prefer ether dual ar, mix of types for dif ranges. Or ar - sg / plc
The min is super light by comparison comparison (duh) and swarms kick a**. Cr are all fun.

Ive been wanting to talk to you bout the commando cause i saw your little like signature thing and saw that you were the commando guy um i wanted to go cal at one point but im not good with charge weapons currently im amarr everything except for logi and im not to good with the scramble since i do lag the single shot dont work to well i planned to use on the gko like a regular ar and a tac for upclose or distance but yeah maybe we can squad sometime |

I just wanna skill what i have fun using but i just felt presured to skill min and thats why i made this post thanks for that moral support though im an easy to get to do something guy bought a respec once just to do av cause my corp asked me to i plan to run the commando with an ar and a tac ar or burst ar but i dont like the plc and i dont like shotguns honestly |

Never skill into things just because they are OP, always go with what makes sense to you and your playstyle, it's always more rewarding.
