maps are so.............predictable. would it be possible to randomize socket locations for objectives. that way the same boring ass tactics can't be used over and over
it would be the same map but would be played completely different as in uplink placement and push/defend points.
i was thinking the code used for ambushes (smart deploy) could be used at the start of the match to place the objectives
and yes i realize it could be problamatic and would require thorough testing to prevent sockets being in obscure places so i would suggest applying a radius in which they can be placed on each map.

I Would rather the sockets optimized and thoroughly gone through for Turret placements, Atleast 50+ ladders placed on different maps...
Allowing for more multi level playability for eeveryone and the ability to counter...
Possibly the addition of an "Elevator" Mechanic(Battlefield) or a Anti Gravity pad(PS2)... That allows for access to high up area's for everyone without it having to be completely dropship dependent...
We would need high up location Collision mechanics and physics reworked, most people even trying to run around on an elevated position in DUST knows.... Multiple invisible walls removed...
The Sockets could be great... But the maps in general drag DUST 514 on the PS3 down... There is more often then not more map in the darn red-line unplayable then there is in the game area...
Sockets need to be reworked with pride and with understanding of How DUST works as a game...
I Plead with the development team to take a step back and look at your collection of sockets.. And ask do they really lend to the gameplay of DUST or are they just stand alone amazing maps not completely made for how this game is played? Do the Turret placements make sense? Do the high vantage points make sense? Are positions counterable for the average casual mercenary to feel they have a chance?
Maps are beautiful... But do they really contribute to the experience anymore then some random generated terrain?

i've been here since 1.4 -_-, i'm just tired of seeing the same ole' shlt done over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over..............and over.
as someone pointed out they are many parts of the redline unused so there's a thought.
and as for them randomizing on too a roof, a elevation range could be applied (besides that new map that is a scouts jungle gym, that one would have to be custom.) to prevent it from happening.

One easy thing they could do would be to use some of the skirmish objective locations to spice up the domination gamemode. This way I wouldn't have to play on and around that stupid tower on Fracture Road all the time but on skirmich A or B instead.
This might also work the other way around. Maybe we can have i.e. a 3 point Fracture Road skirmish map with the domination objective as the middle one.
