At first I thought this may be my controller, but after using a friends, buying a 3rdparty controller and using a ps4controller,it seems to be a dust problem. It also does not effect any other game.
When I use my left thumb pad to sprint it;reloads, jumps, fires my weapon, switched my weapon, and crouches.
Is anyone else having this issue?

Sometimes (mainly when I'm using a Scout) when i try to escape and have to run+shoot, the left thumb pad becomes "bugged", and calls out nowhere the "right d-pad button" action.
I'm a easy target this way.. =/
I couldn't test with another Joysticks, but Dust is the only game it happens (also, i tested in a computer looking for it in a log... nothing wrong was found..) |

How old are the various controllers?
If the ARE NOT NEW then you are right. Dust has a problem with them. However, a new controller will solve most of the issues stated even if that is very frustrating to you personally.
And before you go off on me, Dust and the DS3 drove me nuts. Every other game I own on the PS3 would work with my old controller. Not Dust though. Random failures, nearly impossible to navigate the menus and a litany of other problems. Then I took my controller apart and it had a bad connection and the method to hold the cable in place had failed.
Final answer: I replaced the controller and Dust was much better. Not perfect however. There are significant issues with CCP and their network code between our PS3s and their servers. Search for Large Rail Turret not firing (all large turrets actually and rail rifles as well).
Bad news: The replacement lasted less than a year. That replacement has recently failed* a little after a year. Sony does not make good controllers, IMHO and experience.
* and is the reason I am merely lurking here on the forums versus testing out 1.0 or playing the highly important Demon's Souls.
My favorite tank is a Lightning. Just sayin.

My controller is 2 years old. It's been to hell and back and works without any issues.
That's a weird problem you encountered there.

The warlords update has seemed to fix this bug.
