Totally agree with you, but I feel like they're at a point where they're lost and don't even know what the hell they're doing anymore...
They might not even be working on Legion, but on a way to integrate the FPS part right into EVE online. Kinda like you see happen in the last two future vision trailers. If that's the case, it will be a LONG time until we get to see anything.
Or, they might be working on making Legion something really special and different from Dust, so it doesnt feel like just a port to PC. And that will also take time.
That said, again, I agree with you, they need to let us know what the **** is going on. Bec a lot of people like myself are literally at yhe point of just giving up, aand moving on. And speaking of that, I sort of moved on already with Star Citizen. |

That would really suck!! Been a long believer in the idea of a FPS game set in a "real" universe, with all the cool concept design that they promised.
I still remember the very early closed testing, where we literally had like 2 servers running, and with about 5-6 players. Was playing and testing all day long hoping for the day this dream becomes a reality. Until they finally released Dust 514, but sadly only HALF ASS, with none of the major promised features integrated...
And now you tell me it might not ever happen ... |

Like I've said before it's unfortunate that New Eden with all these games as entry ways into it's universe is in the hands of CCP.
I see, that would still suck, because I'm pretty sure they'll never be able to deliver on the original concept, even on the PS4 right now. This game is just way too ambitious. And like you said, in the future, the PS4 again will start holding them back.
Its unfortunate that New Eden is in CCP's hands RIGHT NOW. But lets not forget that they're the ones that created it!! LOL.
Random question, are you a believer in Star Citizen right now? Have you even heard about it? Or at-least are interested in it? Because as of right, its the only game out there thats giving me hope!!

Yes I've heard plenty about Star Citizen and have seen plenty of it as well. So far have seen the combat in space ships and the first person shooter mode in stations. It looks cool, will have to at least get a better psu and graphics card for that eventually if I want to play Star Citizen. Won't be upgrading completely yet though till the game is officially released and got the official specs and plenty of views on the game.
Good to know others are also interested in StarCitizen. So far, its the closest I've found to offer an experience similar to what EVE online and a FPS mechanic would be like. Will see how it goes, its a lot different still from something like Dust 514 in-terms of combat, and setting, etc.
And yea, I might need an upgrade as well for a better experience. But won't be doing that anytime soon. Will wait till around release to see how everything is like, and if I'm genuinely interested in the game.
Currently running an i5 3570K, 8GB RAM, and a GTX 670FTW. Will see how that does in Star Citizen. Problem is, SC is gonna be the kinda game thats dependent on BOTH your CPU and GPU, so thats a major upgrade right there :( |

da GAND wrote: Ya it seems like that game is gonna make everyone upgrade their rig just to play stably, do you think the FX 8320 is good enough for Star Citizen?
I'm pretty sure you would be able to run it just fine right now. I mean, the FX8320 and the i5 3570K which I got are pretty similar in terms of performance. Currently I run Star Citizen in the Arena commander at around 40FPS and it dips in the 30s sometimes. But again, its in very early stages, and at the same time that's only arena commander. With things in the persistent universe, and big battles etc. It will be different. Can't really tell what's gonna happen.
But definitely, you will be able to run it with your CPU, might need an upgrade for better performance. Not sure about your GPU?? |
