If that's what they're here for they do a terrible job. They have the same base stats as their specialized roles, and the module layout is always either worse than their specialized role(assaults), slightly different because laziness to change when other suits were changed(gal and amarr heavy frames/sentinels), or exactly the same(scout).

My being Matar has nothing to do with it, the Amarr is a beast to be feared.
But the issue with the ratio is that min assaults get a greater advantage to biotics than amarr get to tank. If min assaults weren't so blatantly overused, I might ignore it and think it's not an issue, but that is clearly not the case...

Ignoring it if it's a problem isn't right, but if it's an acceptable trade off it's just that, a trade off for an advantage.
We can't always be nit-picking when there are always bigger issues at hand. The trade off is just too good for the min because the suit gets a very marginal loss in terms of hp when it comes to how much they gain for speed and stamina.
Bolt pistols aren't used often because the charge time is very painful, but yes it is very powerful, possibly even OP. We could try and pre-nerf things before they get abused, but that hasn't been the case, ever. Trust me I've seen many people try...
