I'm posting this because ccp said they need some help with this event (Dropsuit Expert challenge). I'll try to explain all the rules I have in mind, but if you have any suggestion, please post it.
I'll Consider some of the feedback from destructive data mining and the sidearm expert challenge, in order to make this event viable for everybody.
First of all, destructive data mining brought problems about promoting proto stomping, which many disliked. Also, you had to gather kills for three days, which many said it was extreme and crazy. I understand that some of you work, others study and do some other things. Here comes in handy... sidearm expert challenge, where we had to use militia sidearms in order to win the event, many liked it because everyone was able to try it, also because it was just 1 day.
So once enlisted the good and the bad, I'll propose the next rules.
1.- Only militia suits with just militia modules. Why just militia modules? because the idea is not to promote proto stomping and allow everyone to have the same chance, relatively talking.
2.- No squads. Why this one!? because also, some people would exploit the squads in their advantage to success in this event. This would also prevent farming. In case anyone tries, it'd take some time, which takes time, and hence reduce the amount of kills, at the end.
At the end, this ensures that everyone can try to win this event, and that whoever wins this event is actually a good player with X suit.
So the highest amount of kills in one day wins. From downtime to downtime.
Amount of days: I propose 30 days. When? Next summer.
So, just to make it clear: militia dropsuit + militia modules + militia weapons. No STD, adv, pro, off. loy, just militia stuff
you have 23hr 30 min to achieve the highest amount of kills.
what can I use?: Skinwaves, venom, eon, primordial, etc, bpo suits, weapons and modules. Remember that you have to use the militia suit that u want, all have prizes.
militia light, medium, heavy I mean If you want the officer assault gk.0 you have to use gallente militia medium frame. There are 20 dropsuits.
ccp will have to add militia commandos and logistics. we already have militia heavies, mediums and lights of every race.
please discuss things that I may be losing. I'll add things that I believe are important about this event.
Note: ccp make commandos and logistics without an bonus y , so there should be just slightly differences.

That's exactly the reason for militia Since militia don't get bonuses, they would put everyone almost at the same level, despite their skills.
Keep in mind some skills will boost your performance, but not leaving anyone in great disadvantage. |

I really tried to thought in a good way for logis, but it is kinda complicated, because what would u do? If it were about wp, many would break in farm. If u have a better idea about it Plz post it instead just saying what u said. Not mad or anything, but is something that doesn't help at all.

Its a good idea but I don't think its possible for ccp to only track kills while you aren't in a squad.
You can't fight in here! This is the war room.

That is something that I can't tell u, ccp has to answer us that, so we can tweak the ideas, or leave them as they are.

CCP needs to get more staff to name the rest of the suits...Saberwing's modified scout ck.0 has a nice ring to it, rouge's modified assault mk.0, mintchip's scout mk.0, the list goes on. I mean sure they were all fired exluding rouge, but they helped a lot in the development of the game.

Of course is possible to track 'squadless' kills That's nasicall how the leaderbord works The squad you are in has nothing to do with it

Ccp is the only one that can tell u about that. I completely believe they can, but they have to tell us if it is possible or not.

I believe no one has issues about that, but also remember that many asked for the mko and ak0 officer assaults, the point is to bring all 20 suits, so everyone has the option to use the officer suit that the "specialized"

Indeed, it is an opportunity to have all the officer dropsuits.

Wouldn't it be possible for CCP to create "special contracts" or w/e they are called for such an event?
Make sure it is clear that you can only spawn in militia gear, and "ban" players that use suits over a certain metalevel in the matches. In the same way you get banned from FW matches if you kill/damage to many friendlies?
I think it would make for a fun event |

Obligate everyone nit sure, is a good initiative, but not everyone will only use militia. Maybe by registering the suits...

whereas suits may be an easy(ish) thing to track i think they may have difficulty trackign militia modules. i would propose having it be Frontline fittings only but then some people may feel let down with their races suit (i hate the gallente one)
I'd think that what would be easiest for CCP to track dropsuits for an 'officer' event would be to have players register with what suit they'd like to go for. on the DT of the event an APEX style suit that is designed for the event is given to everyone who's registered. that way ccp have IDs on both a suit and the player using it to make it easier to track and to limit protostomping, then at the end of the event the dropsuit is removed and the winners are announced.

I like militia suits only.
If ccp can keep track of militia modules then great but I don't have a problem with someone getting creative with a militia fit
I dont think it should be highest kills, I think it should be best k/d/r.
My reasoning is that this event is for suits.
Expensive/cannot get because they are rare suits.
The winner should be able to demonstrate how lethal they are and show an ability to survive on the battlefield
Maybe for the logi suits its max wp vs times killed so wp/d/r?

I don't think kdr is the best option, I would fit a sniper militia dmg mods and all day in redline. The best way is by total kills.

This is a good idea as well. But I wouldn't chose any APEX. In the sense that those suits are proto suits with standard gear. IMO, the tier (meta level) should be lower. But I agree with pre-defined suits given by CCP & removed at the end of the event.

Not the ideal, but it'd be something you have to deal with, at the end. So either that you can modify it with militia stuff or predefined sounds good to me.
