Just curious what you think of this suit, I'm doing a video review of it. What do you think of the fact the sidearm is a flay lock pistol? I know flay lock pistol don't really benefit from the minmatar assault skill. Also if you have the version from the profiteer pack let me know, since it's very different from the regular version.

I hate the flay lock with a passion I'm terrible at it.. You can fit a std suit better so I don't use it anymore.

I bought a nomad, and I kinda regret it. I suck at burst fire at ranged and cqc. I would definitely be happier If it had an assault variant CR and an SMG. As far as the modules go... Basic modules and plates make sense on some of the races, I guess. But 210/190 base on a armor/shield balanced suit sucks, it feels very blah. Another 100 ehp would go a long way toward surviving scramble and rail rifles. On the plus side, REs are fun to play with and forcing myself to use this fit has to be good for improving my gun game. |

The base nomad is lackluster as are most of the APEX suits (The CalAss and AmSent are notable exceptions imo, though the CalAss is apparently immensely unpopular on the forums but I'm convinced most people don't know how to use the RR properly)...
... However, the X1 variant of the Nomad that comes in the warpack with the BPO Methena is bliss, an SMG and a ACR make a pretty great pairing. More dakka more dakka!

It's a very viable suit as long as you play to it's strength (speed / straffing / flanking).
If you try to use it as you would an EHP tank you will not do well.

I'm grinding Minmatar Loyalty Points, and seeing this I'm thinking about getting the Tiger scout instead. What do? Also, I'm trying to make money, with 6M ISK, so even STD fits don't help much.
