So, we're getting new shinies, but what about the old ones? Can't we update them to the latest firmware?
Assault Rifle - Update the name. Fission/Plasma/Blaster Rifle would be good choices. I like Blaster the best since it isn't used so far For other infantry arms.
SMG - We have the Magsec and this one. Renaming would be pretty cool. I have no idea what would be a good name, though.
Shotgun - Since it's the only general-use shotgun we have, it could stay.
Sniper Rifle - Same.
Also, polishing the Nova Knives Fitting Optimization Skill description. Needs a line break between the actual description and the bonus it provides, like every other skill. Not a big fix, but it makes it look nicer.
I was thinking of posting this on the other forums, but wanted to know if you guys have better/actual names, comments, or other concerns.
I know this isn't really a game changer request, but just to "feel better" about what you're using. Because of this reasoning, the change isn't necessarily needed soon. |

The Assault Rifle is technically actually the Plasma Rifle, but it's a fair bit of work to rename it, so there's better things to do instead. Renaming things is a pain. Especially since you have to localize the new names for different languages the game is available in.

CCP can name any assault suit they want Heimpai, preferably a pink or purple suit, would settle for green.
Why? Cuz I'm like the oldest player still around. The og assault.

Right! Didn't think about that. While names don't change no matter which language, how they are spelt and the transfer to different characters, might. Thanks for the heads up.
Still, though. As mentioned in the OP, while it isn't necessarily an emergency fix, it would be cool to have. Perhaps sometime late Warlords time. |

As mentioned before its classified as busy work on the assault rifle name. Work that results in well... no profits nor any player retention of any measure for that manner.

Time I rather see spent on fixing some of dust 514 more annoying bugs or balancing the game. Maybe when ccp rattati finally gets bored he'll do it.

Couldn't they create a new weapon, called the Plasma Rifle(With the exact same stats as the assault rifle), it comes in Plasma Rifle, Tactical Plasma Rifle, Burst Plasma Rifle, Breach Plasma Rifle. Then, they could remove the assault rifle from the market, and add the plasma rifle to the market in its place. No renaming, just leave it buried.

Maybe but did you stay assault? I've been using nothing but assaults since mordu's. Which means I never chased fotm =ƒÿÅ I'm aware there's a few still older than me or as old.
