Are they supposed to get treatment in this new update, haven't seen any info regarding them just yet.
If not, any lav idea threads about?

Well firstly I think we need separate versions, like the proposed tank changes they're doing now, so they can have a reasonable balance as an attack vehicle/logi vehicle.
As for the turret/driver problem I think a small damage resistance while in the lav could help, without making passengers (lav heavies in particular) unkillable.
To counter this a small entry/exit timer mechanic could be applied to the lav, not long a few seconds, this will hopefully be a nice counter to jumping out to kill one guy then jumping back in to zoom off with no consequence.
On the logi lav side we already had a good balance, less turret damage more tank, so no comment there...
For the logi lav repper though I always thought a good idea would be:
Allow the repper to rep both tanks and infantry, but don't allow them both at once.
For infantry use an AOE kind of healing 'area' around the lav, more links with better repper.
With tanks have the old lock on repper (hopefully improved by the time of release) more hp/s with better repper.
The one repper does both jobs BUT can't do both at once, you use it for one or the other.
Obviously that design has a few holes in it, but that's the basic idea yeah.
