So I have been playing dust for about 2 years before the first Uprising update, and I recently found out that nova knives where once able to be charged while running, in the video I saw (which was like a few months out of beta I would imagine) the minmatar seemed pretty strong because of the running while charging mechanic.
Fast forward a few years into the present, the minmatar is considered the weakest scout, but I like the play style of its role so I play it anyway even if I lose 40% of my attempts at knifing someone (thanks to the new ewar system that allows assault suits to scan scouts with 1 complex dampener with no effort at all)
I wish that the knives got this charge while sprinting mechanic back, and everyone will be able to use knives while sprinting, just that the minmatar will make this weapon more efficient.
There are already a few posts in the General discussion section in the new officer sidearms thread about the officer NK having to much risk when used and not that much reward when used since its easily to get killed. But if you (the devs) reintroduce this sprint charge mechanic FOR ALL KNIVES then the minmatar scout ight be considered balanced(or OP), but hey Rattati if it turns out to be OP then change it back, I won't protest because I don't want knives to turn into an "easy mode" weapon.

It seems that the only way of getting the devs attention is through a spreadsheet, but I want something to make the minmatar scouts role a bit easier but to still require skill to accomplish it properly, u know

I dont mind getting killed by shotguns but when im using my proto minmatar scout, I just hate getting 1 shoted by a basic shotgun and since the minmatar scout doesn't have any ewar advantages, u have to choose between using dampener to get close to your target or precision mods to detect ppl and try to get the jump on them or to avoid them from getting the jump on u.
May I remind u that:
1:the caldari and gallente scouts have a damp bonus, it only takes 1 complex damp plus their racial bonuses to avoid assault passive scans and some scouts passive scans
2: the amarr has precision, he always knows where you are even wif u have damps.
My point is these suits have some ewar they just need to stack a bit of armor/shields or maybe some extra ewar mods to make them more efficient but the minmatar scout needs to get even closerthan a shotgun and its very hard to do that when someone picks u up in their radar and with such lo hit points, the fraise "a scanned scout is a dead scout" becomes a reality very quick.
But hey if your a proto shotgunner, then go ahead and shoot me, I won't mind, just basic shotguns are the ones that get me going.

Backpedal sounds nice, Adipem u said that was introduced to Rat, what did he say about it? Did he agree, disagree or considering it?

I hate being OHK'd in my proto assault suit by a MLT shotgun, you're a scout soo...... you're whining about that why exactly? One damp on my assault suit takes me below the scan of all but scouts running scans or an actual scanner of ADV or better capabilities, so scouts are all that can see you on the map anyway, and you have a speed advantage on all of them. Once again.... you're complaining why? Low eHP? Your hitbox is half the size of mine and you can run at over 10 meters a second, all I hear is QQ. Also, a scanned anything is dead UNLESS DEFENDED PROPERLY, scout or otherwise. As for those complaining about backpedal speed, IF I SEE YOU, YOU F'D UP. So if I can stop what I'm doing and turn around and shoot you without you killing me, that's on you for failing so hard. I have the right to be able to defend myself when you mess up, simple as that. What, am I supposed to stand still while you're crashing into me so I can't get a line of sight on you while you mash R1 with your OHK autoaim knives? I think not. /thread
.30 of speed advantage isn't much of a difference trying to catch up to a scout to knife him while you are both sprinting is a waste of time because it will take forever unless you are using kin cats, oh and by the way, its imposible to get ohk by a militia shotgun when you are in a proto assault suit, if u do get ohk, then u don't know how to fit a proto assault suit. Anyway you're negativity isn't welcome in this thread, this isn't a "QQ" thread, this is a thread for ideas on said suit, I bet u don't even run minmatar scout, maybe thats why u sound so stupid and naive.
