Hey all. I have been discussing some ideas given all of the changes being proposed. I have one of my own and the feed back from other fcs has all been in support.
When we field command a battle. We are making a lot of very fast paced decisions. To make those decisions I always find myself either hiding in a corner on the map screen. Or dead and waiting longer to re spawn so I can check out what's happening on the map.
After all. It's our job to command the bigger picture not just the area we are standing in.
This is the huge concern of all FCS. Knowing at all times where your players are without cluttering comms asking....who's that on Bravo. Or who the heck is that spinning circles in the MCC
My proposal would be a simple solution. Can you please add a number to people's dots on the mini map and the large map. And with that on the side a legend of the map. With people's names beside numbers.
That way the fc has total command and control. And we all have players who listen on mic. But chose not to speak. Somone we only know they in the game because of the kill feed. This will help us follow up on their compliance with orders.
Another option. Can we have a zoom in and out of our mini map. So I don't always have to go look at the detailed map.
I always get killed on that map screen lol.
those are my short term simple solutions to command and control.
Long term. I would love to add a 17th member to the planetary conquest mode. The commander. He isn't on the ground. He is in the mcc. He has total birds eye view and an extended zoom.
He can give squad objective points...and team objective points. He can see all squads scores and war points and scans and can drop the teams orbitals. This. Would make this game amazing and strategic.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Oh oh oh. And my harder to do wish list that woukd make the commanders job even more exciting. Not only have birds eye view. But let them scroll through first person shooter mode of their players! See what they see. It'd be like your soldiers wearing go pros

Which part to keep dreaming about. It is a very realistic request that would greatly enhance the command and control aspect of pc.

Also. Given the current state of war in PC. E War is becoming more and more Powerfull.
New orbitals would greatly enhance this...and fight it
1000 point orbital- Map scan lasting 10 seconds. Entire map scanned. No one can hide from war barge scan.
1000 point Orbital- jammer. All radars are fogged out. Uplinks and equipment won't work for 10 seconds.
These 2 options would add quite the mix. Doesn't destroy...just enhances and blocks.

To add to that.
Orbitals in PC are not used the same way as they are in Pubs. They are not selfishly dropped for go for mass kills. They are technical. An eve lazer may be dropped on one nasty forge gunner or scout defending a letter.
So hence why I want more options of orbitals in PC. Because they all come in handy and have a purpose. We use emp because links are life in pc. Sometimes the enemy has a letter covered by high ground.. we kill the defended but because of great link placement can't stop his re spawn. Also can't get up there because it's covered by forge fire.
Orbitals are great. Plz more type

Why wouldn't he? He can get isk pay out and skill points. Plus. We don't pc for the pay. We fight for the fight. The win. Let the commander drop the orbitals.

Thank you for your time and consideration. Were you not in STB? If so my memory recalls every time I went against you in pubs (pre-forge range and splash and pre- SR range nerf) I would find you always on the highest ground with a forge. I would keep you pinned back and dramatically reducing your kills from 100m or less in a scout sniper combo. You never could kill me, And I never you. Though it helped that you always had a logistics healer staying out of sight on you. It is hard for me to take you seriously because of these early encounters, but I do see the wisdom in what you say. That said, I prefer Benjamin Ciscko post over yours, because he is less scrubby, but I personally must digress due to having no argument over your lack of ability and that type of behavior is not forum savvy. GL in your endeavors none the less and pushing threw this agenda as it seems to benifit the community.
Wait.
Is this an insult...or a compliment...
Scrubby tactics is a forge gunner getting into a tactical position to cover the letter...denying the enemy high ground. ...and getting into a position go destroy enemy vehicles. All the while protecting myself from being on the ground so I'm not ganked by shot guns...
Or...I could go sig in the red line with a sniper rifle and go 3-0 with 150 wps
