Did you forget about dispersion, which makes the Large Blaster miss the large barn door?
In my experience I have yet to apply 2000 DPS to a target.

Actually, he's a friend of a friend for me. I've taken him under my wing to help him with skillbooks, ISK, beginner fitting suggestions and the like. 
Feel free to hop on and squad with us though. I'd like to take his experience and forward it on to Kevall so we can improve the new player experience.
Also, I found out recently that the tutorial that used to be implemented from - I think it was 1.5 or 1.6 - has been completely removed. There's no welcome mail, no "You show great promise recruit..." speech, no guidance goal system whatsoever. It's kind of worrying.
