Stop the ******* bitching already. Its been nothing but nonstop bitching from the shield using community for YEARS... Seriously, you've been crying since Armor was buffed from absolesence in like, Uprising 1.3 or something...
Get it through your heads! If shields were ever as UP as you guys think they are, wouldn't they have actually done a serious buff to them in the almost 2 years since the armor buff, instead of a series of tiny buffs to close the gap that was, in reality, very small from the beginning. No, they aren't at parity. atleast not until laser and plasma get changed towards caldari suits. 100 damage per shot is just blatantly overpowered, shield suits have what, 500, 600 shields max?
Q.Q
Use Combat Rifles. They do more than 100 damage per burst to armor. Or better yet, use HMGs. They shred armor.

My Amarr assault has 559 Armour...... am I complaining? Nope. Shield suits can have as much eHP especially the Assault Frame than their armour counter parts AND have better self repair capability. Most Amarr Assaults have way more than that. For example, my ADV fit has over 700 armour. Lol Standard Plates. Get gud.

FTFY I'm saying Standard Plates suck, dumbass. The strafe penalty makes them completely worthless. A single complex plate drops strafe speed by 15%, which can be the difference between getting hit with 80% of the rounds, and 20% of them. Stop using them. Use ferroscales. Get gud.

If you want to understand why people are complaining, then use Caldari assault for few games. Amarr will instantly destroy you.
In conclusion. CCP won't change anything. Sadly. Again. Assuming gthe SCR actually fires at 600 RpM. You guys need to stop pulling the PAPER DPS out like its some sort of good argument. It never actually does that much DPS.
In reality, ScR DPS hovers around 450-500 for the VAST majority of people. Some people can getup to 525-550 out of it, but that is a small fraction of its users. An even smaller faction can remain accurate while doing so.
A CR however, can have a easily sustained 500-525 DPS because of its slower refire rate. As in most people can do that.

I was simply commenting that most armour Assaults have more EHP than shield Assaults, and as such, you can't treat them as the same.
Except that's not really true anymore, since they added the strafe penalty to standard plates.
The vast, vast majority of armor users use ferroscales, and since 1-2 armor repairers is essential, its quite common for shield suits to have more shields than the armor suits have armor.
Most of my armor suits have less than 500 total armor nowadays in favor of faster speed, and more importantly, faster strafe speed. The only armor suit I bricked is my Laser Rifle...

This just convinces me that shield users just universally don't know how to fit suits at all. Like WTF dude? I've yet to see a shieldmaiden share a good fit. Ever.
Seriously, what good it an energizer on a suit that only has 145-180 shields? Especially if that energizer only gives you 13 more HP/s for that suit?
That complex module is making your tiny shield pool regen maybe 2-3s faster from empty... A Myofibril would be better, even without the jump bonus...

Learn to actually fit suits, and maybe you can stop whining on the forums about how bad your suits are. Seriously, use this fit I made instead. Its better than the one you are using... I use it because extender wouldn't be that useful, and myofibs aren't changed yet, and it helps, I never have shield problems. Go use a minmatar commando without a shield recharger and look how unbearable the recharge is. Oh and it has no pg requirements. no myo because I don't melee, I'm using an amarr suit, so I won't be getting that close. Your fit is not as good. why use a armor rep, when the point of shield tanking is to not let your shields go down to the point you have 50 armor left. replace that recharger for an energizer. maybe replace an extender for another energizer for 87 reps? And replace your CR for an ARR, for hipfiring.
The armor rep is useful in this case. It cuts 111s off of your depleted armor repair time, and while that never happens to a full extent, it's a lot more useful than the 2-3s you're cutting off with that energizer... You should be ignoring your armor repair rate on any suit. The base repairs are always pitiful, so a repairer/reactive is useful no matter what suit you are on, because you will lose your shields sometimes. Close 1v1s are a thing, and you will lose shields, suits, so it's better to be able to get back to full HP at a fair speed, especially after those close fights. I try to keep my depleted armor time below 40s for all of my suits
You can replace an extended for an energizer/recharger if you want, as that is probably a play style choice, tbh. Its just me, but I'd prefer to have a stronger shields pool with an acceptable regen, rather than an acceptable pool with stronger regen.
The CR is also a personal choice. Fit an ARR if you want. I just don't like them.

I just don't like them. 2 energizers on a cal assault cut more time off, and if you get shot in cover, wait 3-4 seconds and you have a decent amount back, 100 extra shields isn't going to let you win against a ScR, as that's the biggest issue.
Like I said. Its pretty much personally choice as far as that is concerned.
But you can't always expect to be near cover to hide behind, all the time. The energizer requires that you play more tactfully in your positioning choice. You can expect that extender to absorb another Scrambler shot, or CR Burst, or 2 AR shots, or 4 ACR shots... all the time. It essentially negates surprises, and gives you a little extra time to react to most threats.
That extender provides you with a more mobile play style option by allowing you to be a little more reckless with your movement and positioning, while the energizer will improve your ability to bunker down and provide fire from afar. Its all about how you play.
Part of the reason I don't like Caldari suits. They just don't appeal to my play style at all. Peek-a-boo at range just isn't my thing, because if I want to fight at range, I'd rather stand and deliver with a Laser Rifle, and you need an Amassault to make the most out of that playstyle.
