PS3's cell processor is awesome...just saying. It's just its architecture which is way too complicated and "strange" for almost any developer. Destiny runs at solid 30 fps but it also gives you a sensation of smooth play anytime, so does GTAV. Yes, both games had a huge budget, but they've also been developed for old+current generation, and talking about gtaV it's also being developed for PC.
As far as I remember, chromosome was much smoother than now. There must be a problem with something introduced in Uprising. Probably something graphic-related. Might also be an issue with content broadcasting?

It was tested already with 128 players stampede with SVER, not a single lag or frame drop with airstrike bombarding on top of them. WHAT!!!!!!!!!!! When, when did MAG have 256 players on map without lag. i don't remember this. part of the reason i played sabotage is because it had the least amount of lag. Just because it ran fine some of the time does not mean it ran fine most of the time.
It was network lag due to servers shut-down. When MAG was fully-operative (first two years of its lifespan) I only had little network lag spikes when playing on Asia/America servers. Never had framerate problems in Domination.

Ah, if they only moved to ps4 (or whatever) when their community was asking for at this point PS4 owners were playing Dust 514 Beta on PS4.
Anyway, what clone D is saying is pretty right. Talking about networking, there are much better games both old and next gen.

Dust was originally on pc then they had to scrap it and start over for ps3, it was running carbon if I remember correctly. Why they wanted a console game so bad is something I'll never understand.
Well, if the game was even decent ( compared to shooters standards ) it would have been CCP's gold-mine. It's one of the very few F2P on Ps3, it's not pay-to-win, it has a very well-created social aspect, good progression flow. It has been pretty dumb to develop on ps3 only, without thinking about the incoming future generation, but moving on console, it's been a very good idea. Unfortunately, they didn't take into account their inexperience with Cell and FPS in general, but at least conceptually the most revenues and playtime would have come from consoles.

I'm gonna hate myself for saying something remotely nice about CCP... But MAG lagged like hell, I mean like a constant stream of people complaining about being shot after they've run behind cover. I personally lag a lot less on Dust than I did on MAG. Also even on the larger battles, everyone was shoehorned into smaller areas... There would have been serious unplayable issues if they had all 256 people in one small area. But even with it's issues, I did enjoy it.
That's right, it was network lag and at least for me it happened only when playing against americans/ asians. But framerate lag...never had any.

You make it sound like everyone wasn't playing on the same map, which is completely wrong. The maps were what, about the same size as the maps in DUST? And sometimes everyone was fighting at the letters and you can't say that's not a small fighting area.
Bendtner is actually right. Remember Raven's Domination? By unlocking the inner letters you was actually fighting in 256 in a very tiny space.
