So I hear that some people on both AV and vehicle sides want to make the SL more involved. So for those of you who have played CoD Black Ops II, why not make it sort of like the Lodestar? You have to keep the lock box on the target for the swarms to keep a lock. However, the salvos would do more damage, because of the lowered RoF due to not being able to fire off one after another. This would keep it easy to use, but have it have some sort of counter measure.
Please, keep on topic and discuss flaws and such.

Look, I gave you a like through sympathy okay But I'm with you, I believe the forums should be about discussing how to make the game better but unfortunately, some players aren't good enough on Dust so they decided to make the forums into a game aswell (through variious techniques like trolling etc). If you're going to mention COD on these forums unfortunately for you, it's the equivalent as saying you're mum captures preteens for you to r*pe and murder in your bedroom. I know you meant well but please, think before you post xx And you, my friend, should look past the CoD, and look at my suggestion. I only mention it because it seems like it could be a better model for an existing feature here. I never said "well, since CoD is such a good game, we should have the features in Dust." I just thought of it as an alternative, if I had not mentioned CoD and just describing how it works, it would be OK, right?

Dropships need a way to evade swarms, either by further nerfs to turn radius (easy to do) or by introducing countermeasures (harder to do). Tanks are fine with regards to swarms, although damage profiles should be tweaked. Regular DS need a little more resistance. While they don't have warning, they can at least evade the second one if they get out fast enough, as the swarmer would have to wait to fire off another volley. Plus, it would allow for better evasion by the use of buildings and structures. Yes, a turn radius would do something, but IMO, not much. I want to lower the fire and forget factor that is currently in place, you just fire as many off in as little time, while shooting the first backwards for a double hit on the second. Its not super hard to land multiple hits comsecutively on a vehicle, the balancing factor with the other AV weapons.
A buff to resistance for transport drop ships I think is a good idea, and their primary counter would be an ADS, which is good because it gives ADS something to do. Maybe with the Logi Drop ship reintroduction.
Yes, tanks are fine with regards to swarms, except for armor ones, which are in the same spot as drop ships, albeit with more cover. They have to bugger out after being hit once. And I assume the profile change is to balance shield based vehicles, which I think is a good idea, but is the symptom of a few things:
1. Swarms being explosive, so not as effective vs shield vehicles. This is fine, but only if the rest of the problems weren't a thing. 2. Better hardeners, and the ability to fit multiple with a still decent tank. Issue here is fitting capacity of shield based vehicles and the fact that they have built in repairers and can achieve much better EHP. 3. No very good anti shield AV. This iPhone is obviously a problem for obvious reasons.

LAVs should be considered a model as to why people think vehicles are OP.
Let's say that the turrets on an LAV actually worked. It would be literally an ADS with a faster movement speed, better mobility, and better cover. It would be a nightmare.
The key ingredient as to vehicles being OP or not is their ability to stay alive, not necessarily the fact that it kills many people. The fact that it kills people only gets people to mobilize against it. Its why murder taxi heavies get so much hate when used, because of the fact that they are very survivable and good at killing by singling out. Its literally an ADS on the ground, but worse.
