The problem with the fire-and-forget feature of swarms is that they don't fly around obstructions effectively. All a tank has to do to avoid them is keep on moving and time their hardeners/reps properly. Most tanks I fire my swarms at simply run away before my swarms have any meaningful effect on them. And that apparently isn't worth the trouble of aiming and having to think about aiming. sweet spots don't matter when you will always hit your target no matter what.

Um... not everyone is skilled into Commando suits which happen to be the only suits that can field 2 light weapons (the swarm launcher and rifle). The only way I can wield a rifle while carrying a swarm in a scout or assault suit is to fit a BEAR ('Black Eagle' Assault Rifle) which is the only rifle of it's kind that can be fitted into a sidearm slot and those are freaking rare to get. Therefore, the most I can use in addition to the swarms is a sidearm which limited my range to close combat. After reading this reply i have to wonder if you have fired the SL before. I might be inclined to agree with if all of the above was true but it is not. Is this what vehicle users think happen when people pull out SL? The sl is not a lock and forget especially when everything and i do mean everything brakes your lock on. That is the ultimate troll with this weapon. There really is no negative to the vehicle users if they know what they're doing. Vehicle user in tanks, unless super stupid will just drive behind any mid levels hills / crates / building. If that fails its hit the fuel injector and go back to their redline to heal. Rinse and repeat for ultimate scrubness. If a vehicle user is in a dropshop the number one thing i see them do is just hit the up button to get out of range any and all a.v.. If they don't do that it's hit the fuel injector to fly to the other side of the map / into the red line untill their healed. Vehicle user get no negative for doing things that most players can not. It would be great and very frustrating if the player could at the drop of a hat just move themselves 200 meters from a tank/dropship. The real problem vehicle users are having with the sl is that everyone uses it for their goto AV weapon not because it's easy but because every suit can run them. Don't believe me lets have all AV weapon unlocked for six months. So long as it is classified as Av it can be fitted into light weapon slot.
