Win 10 matches in a row-500k isk. 6. Provide officer weapons for the MVP of every match. This is all you really have to do. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Consider it and like if you agree. Trying to get this on CCP's agenda or on their mind at the very least.

1. 50 meters is too shallow. With my Minscout I can sprint 50 meters in just under 5 seconds, spent maybe 10 seconds stabbing people, and still have enough time to run out before Lady Redline has her way with me. And this is just with me stabbing people at 2.5 meters. Imagine AR, CR, SCR, LSR, and MDs spawn killing people in there. Bad idea is bad.
2. We tried that once back in closed beta. Didn't make any difference for solo players who still acted solo people who were solo didn't even realize they were squad leaders for that match and thus people often didn't bother using squad commands.
3. But then how would you account for players who came in late in the match and suddenly earned 100,000 ISK even though they didn't do anything because Scotty put them in 3 minutes before the match ended?
4. I agree. But for god sake don't throw in more strongboxes as rewards and I sure as hell don't want more savant missions.
5. Neat idea, but then this will encourage even more pub stomping from corps who are qsyncing into pubs.
6. I'm neutral on this matter.

...Dude I don't have all the answers. All I know is they have to find a way to encourage people to play the game. I feel like pulling my hair out sometimes when it comes down to dominating or being dominated because a group of players choose to sit in the redline. I just feel like I'm wasting my time playing matches now-a-days.
I'm a try-hard, because half my team sits in the MCC.

In closed beta it was agreed unanimously that this was far too short.
It was tried, and was a horrible slaughterfest prone to heavy abuse. No reason to go back.

This issue with giving MVP officer weapons is that a logi is often mvp and logis don't need officer weapons.

1st place on the winning team gets 1 random officer weapon I guaretee you will see the try hards come out in force. And with the incentive to win giving bonus isk you might see people push a little harder so they can get that reward. |

Logis would not get it every game. I just went 23-3 with a forgegun earlier. Had like 3,000wp's. And beside Gal logi with than scan bonus and a balac sounds pretty reasonable. Not to mention, who's to say they won't eventually come out with officer rep tools or something. And we do have player market and p2p around the corner so please stop knocking this great idea.

All CCP has to do in order to get a lot of the guys to come back is make a bold move like this. Provide INCENTIVE. It makes the game worth playing. Something to seek after. Crave. Strive for. Isk, Officer Weapons, SP. They already made big changes to the SP and we saw a rise in player counts over the past few months as a result. Imagine if they kept rolling with it. I think it's a great change from seeing new maps and weapon tweeks over and over again.

And another thing. Most people are skilled into multiple roles now-a-days, so I think this will be a great idea. Just wish had some more support. Why wouldn't people, who make MVP, want free stuff? I mean they deserve it, and they would be getting MVP regardless so. idk. If not Officer weapons then more isk or something.

Only thing that will keep my rubber band off my controller is MATCHMAKING If I go into a skirmish and in less than 5 min all objectives are red and i have died 3 times by a PROTO then I spawn in the redline and carefully put my rubber band on my 2 sticks and go smoke a cig.
Put me in auto squad Not going to change the way I play. If I want to play AS a squad I will join a squad on my own.
Giving a big bonus to winning would be nice if we had MATCHMAKING that worked but since we don't I would probably be using my rubber band even more due to all the proto stompers it would bring in.
I feel like if I wanted to play a match vs PROTO squads then I would play FW or PC
If you can't kill them scan them.

If they want to make it competitive the should rank districts so you have basically an eternal tournament, the best would play the best instead of seeking out easy prey, which all your suggestions encourage and which is the single biggest problem in the game.

Yep, the tryhards would come out in force, and how does that improve the game? You think the matches are too even now to be fun maybe? Tryhard A wiil just quit when he sees tryhard B until he finds a bunch if newberrys he can stomp.

1. Remove redline and give MCC guns. MCC should annihilate any hostile, be it infantry or vehicle, within a 100 metre radius from the MCC. Much better than the current redline we have.
2. DoesnGÇÖt help and causes extra hassle after the game anyway. Having green dots instead of blue will not make anyone play any different unless they chose to squad up.
3. Winning should net you more ISK, I can agree to that
4. Yes, how about things like GÇ£kill 40 enemies with MLT Ion PistolGÇ¥? I would love those kinds of missions
5. With the matchmaking we have, IGÇÖd say no. If you queue up immediately after a battle youGÇÖre almost guaranteed to be in the same team as before and facing the same opponent. This would get old and fast. The daily rewards for winning battles should be better; they are god awful at the moment.
6. Not a good idea as exploiters would come out en masse. This would just encourage WP farming. Number one on the leaderboard does not equal MVP in this game. I wouldnGÇÖt consider someone WP farming with their buddies as valuable.
The biggest issue this game currently has is matchmaking. Lopsided battles cause people to run for the hills, goof around or simply quit the game and never pick it up again. And I donGÇÖt blame them. I rage at this game more than any other, it annoys me to no end when my BBGÇÖs suck but they shouldnGÇÖt be playing in the same matches with me anyway. New players should be fighting new players, squads against squads and soloGÇÖs stuffed somewhere there. Unfortunately, we donGÇÖt have a lot of players for this.

fw should be tallied weekly. whatever faction wins fw the following week all items cost 25% isk less. this is the thing: a lot more people would run adv/proto gear in pubs if they had money to do so, making the games more active/challenging. |

Most of those will simply reward Protostomp squads.
The only option I like is 2. Auto squads. And that's only if it comes with an Opt in ability rather than everyone. So that people know they will be in a squad. |

Good ideas in there.
1) Just don't know the answers to redline issues. Snipers should be punished for it certainly. In fact I would introduce retrospective punishment for anyone with more than 3 historic kills sniping from the redline. These people are the vermin of the game - and I would suggest permanently removing the sniper section of their skill tree. And halving the rate at which they earn SP for a month per redline kill. 2) Good yes I like that 3) I also like that 4) They already do this and it works great. 5) I think the daily goals are enough. 6) Great idea.

One concurrent statement of many a newberry is the hardships of learning the ropes of how Dust works and the overall positive gameplay experience while in academy as well as the harsh reality of being repeatedly stomped to nothingness once out of it, which drives out any unadulterated competitive spirit and has many a newberry leave never to return to Dust 514.
What we need is better help and introduction tools for newberries and longer academy times (academy 'til 10mil SP reached or academy ended prematurely of player's own volition).
Repetitiveness is a devil and inviably leads to boredom, which drives away new players as well: GåÆ unlockable multi-room/tiered mercenary quarters, GåÆ customizations and communal rooms, GåÆ last but not least PVE (open world and/or storyline, 'Epic Arc') and player trophies, GåÆ anything halfway tangible that shows the player's progress in a visual way aside from some numbers on his skill-sheet
...is essentially necessary to win this war of attrition that is NPE and the end of academy aka. pubstompinyourface at the moment. |

This is why we need to have some dialogue before you can claim any of these ideas as good. Some of them really are good ideas, but a couple of them have problems.
One in particular being the 50-meter redline. As Xocoyol Zaraoul pointed out just now, we use to have a tiny redline back then in closed beta. But it wasn't as small as 50 meters. It was about 100 meters at the most and even then it was a complete slaughter to anyone spawning in when their team has been pushed into the redline and all objectives were taken by the reds. Anyone spawning in were killed immediately by snipers and forge gunners and that's not including the LAVs that drove around creating street pizzas out of the poor players. Don't forget the nova knifers who could sprint 10 meters per second at the time. I would know as I was there when the redline was that small. I was even among those few knifers that were able to sprint in, kill a couple of mercs, and then run out before the timer is up.
Again, everyone unanimously agreed (from both sides of the slaughter) that the redline needed to expand. You don't want to go back to those days. Believe me. It was horrible. It almost made Nam look like a carnival experience.
