Looking for constructive opinions...
I have several fits with uplinks equipped and derive satisfaction in finding good locations to place them. Locations that are less likely to be found and camped, but still in good strategic spots. It's an art.
I make sure to place them so when you spawn you are not only in a relatively safe location but are facing the right direction as well.
It seems like most mercs would rather spawn in the middle of a road as long as it's close to the objective rather than in cover and have to sprint 125m.
But I digress.
I have been using the Viziam Gauged because you can place 3.
The Quantum spits out 25 vs 20 but you can only place 2.
The Viziam Flux spits mercs out the fastest.
Which proto uplink do you prefer? Which nets you consistently the best results?
Stay gold.

Flux because it has the fastest spawn times, which when it comes to spawning in is the most important factor.

i run mainly ambush so prefer the quantum variants seeign as all uplinks are just a few seconds. in dom/skirm it depends if i'm solo or in a squad. if we're in a squad i'll carry gauged as i have 3 available and i tend to drop a new link as the squad moves around so we can stay close together if one goes down. if i'm solo i'll just run around and try get flux links in tactical places to farm warpoints of my bluedots

I haven't invested in an Amarr logi or PRO uplinks, but I use a Caldari ADV logi ( it has enough BW for 6 uplinks out ) with the standard, Flux, and Quantam variants. Isnt a veyr noticable difference unless I had better skills tho.
Slightly off topic but I know what you mean, what ive started doing is calling in my uplink suit and a LAV and placing them all over a skirmish map, even if we have the objective it'll probably get hacked and when it does its great, + 25+ 25+ 25+ 25+ 25+ 25+ 25+ 25+ 25+ 25+ 25+ 25+ 25+ 25+ 25.
I dont just throw them all willy nilly tho, I hide them off were redberries most likely wont travel unless they see a stream of soldiers spewing from them, but close enough tot he objextive sot hat when it gets hacked alot of people will start spawning on it, i get a real nice chunk of WP's from it, and it actually does help the team out if there placed in good spots

Sooooo Viziam Flux for the quick spawns?
Is that the consensus?
When I am spawning in I never pay attention to the time. What's important to me is the best location. I'll wait a few seconds longer if the location seems better. I hate dying..
But what I am reading is quickest is best.
Is that from the perspective of the uplink dropper or the one spawning?
So the Proto Flux the best droplink for the team and for the WP's?
Any dedicated Logi's want to weigh in? Do they still exist?

The one with a faster timer. If the timer is too long then your teammates will spawn sporadically and there will seldom be enough players present to be able to take or hold objectives. By giving the ability to spawn faster you multiply the amount of force present on the field immensely.

Weighing in as a dedicated logi, flux uplinks in close but maybe less safe spawns, and quantum a bit back from the objective for safe less timely spawns.
