I agree with you to an extent. It's annoying, and every time I see somebody on the other side running REs, I call them things that I will not say here. I hate their guts (love y'all deep down though :P). But it's still funny as d*cks when they drop an RE and blow the balls off like 5 proto heavies + logis (of which I'm usually a part of). I laugh every time, even if I lose my logi suit. Granted I swear at them right after I finish laughing, but it's all fun and games, man, dont take it too seriously.
And I will say that it does take skills. I've tried running scout (Amarr to be exact). It's difficult (at least for me) to run in, throw and RE down, survive that, and then detonate it (people tell me it's because i run Amarr, but meh). Give these guys more credit, man. Dont hate because they are f*cking amazing at their job. You know they laugh when they get 3 or more kills with REs, so laugh with them. It's funny as d*cks. xD

There is a reason why we don't arm out military forces with stacks of C4 and a detonator. It's impractical and those stupid enough to use it so incorrectly just die like a lamb to the slaughter, it shows they would rather rely on pure luck then skill and aim.
It really limits their capabilities, kinda like those morons who stick a shotgun on a heavy frame lol.
But those guys are at least funny (the shotty heavies). What's not to love about a gigantic beetle (Gal Sentinel/Commando) "run" up behind you with his little toy and go "pew pew pew pew pew pew", miss, and take a dirt nap? It's hilarious. xD It's a slow beetle with a shot gun. xD Who does he think he's gonna kill being that slow? xD

As long as people like you exist (and by that, I mean people complaining about remotes or writing posts about them in general) then the RE's will continue to flow. The fun part of it is getting responses and knowing you're ticking someone off by blowing them up with an RE. Not to mention it's rather invigorating at times to run into a crowded room, drop a few RE's, run out and hit the detonator. Though, if you find a better way to kill a room full of fatties with proto logi support glued to their asses, I'm definitely all ears. P.S. Some of us actually run out of ammo and just have nothing left except the RE's. 
Plasma cannons, maybe? :P
