Why should i go through a middle man when a direct line IS present?

Lots of people would much rather watch a video or listen to a podcast, but God forbid someone who still holds passion for this game wants to do something to help further spread the rather scarce information that currently exists

"Holds a passion for this game"? As far as I can tell, BAMM pops into Dust's life to do things like scrutinize why we are getting updates and explain why CPM1 is literally ******.

You say "passion for this game" and I say "youtuber attempting to increase his views/subscriber count through simulated controversy" CEOpyrex does this too, but to a lesser degree it seems.

This game is suffocating for user generated content. Im sorry you dislike this game so much that youd rather stand in opposition against those who would attempt to help fill that void.

You won't get a lot of us at 21:00 GMT on Friday. Those of us in the US will be at work. There's two CPM members in your time zone.

No, because I know how bad of an idea this would be. The rest of the CPM will entirely agree with me on that. The CPM is vital to the life of the game, whether you get butthurt about forum answers you get or not. Less than 1% of the active playerbase votes for the CPM because less than 10% of the active playerbase uses the DUST forums like... ever. (And I'm probably being generous on my statistic.) Most people just log in and play the game, nothing more. It doesn't mean they don't care, or don't benefit from the CPM existing, they just don't know it exists.

If anything, this is a good cause to more heavily promote the CPM in-game. However, the voting percentage will always be a very small percentage of total players, as is the same with the CSM in EVE as well.



While the player community holds the privilege of selecting the CPM, it is CCP's responsibility to vet candidates for eligibility, monitor their performance as CPM members (as players are not adequately capable of determining this during a term), and removing CPM members should there be cause to. As players have no ability to gauge internal activity level of CPM members, it's borderline impossible for players to make an educated decision about the status of a sitting CPM.



While it's unfortunate that as of yet we have not gotten a summit, we thankfully have a really good working relationship particularly with CCP Rattati, so we've been able to get a lot done. However, there are definite perks to a summit, in being able to see some of the process at work, and have an actual sit-down meeting with the developers. It's actually probably the most helpful to have a summit early in the term, to set the plan in motion for the rest of the term.

As far as CPM0, you owe them more than you'll ever imagine. They were not prepared for the task that they faced, and they were put through 18 months of absolute concentrated stress. They went above and beyond the call of duty, even with some of the mistakes that were made. You seem to have a disjointed view that without CPM0 things would have been better, when in fact, things would have been much, much worse.

And you probably owe me something too for entertaining your countless tirades and answering your questions honestly anyways. ;)

1. DUST worked fine before we had a CPM - It is in no way vital to DUST, under CPM0 we had moreproblems than enough which ended up with the rouge wedding and IWS being trotted out to defend CCP with a post about old games and DLC which didnt convince anyone by the way, i dont think CPM0 could have got any worse

3. Unfortunate? You havnt earned it and why do you need to see a dev do some coding? and your sit down meeting you can do on the net anyways

3a. CPM0 was not prepared for anything and that isnt stress and they did not go beyond the call of duty because they sat at a computer talking and waiting for a fanfest trip
