Sorry xel don't believe you, you and your troll buddy ripley have derailed what few questions I was attempting to gather via the forums. The idea was for you the CPM to read the questions posed by the few remaining players and have ample time to respond when I asked you them during the discussion.
I should have know better to be honest, anyone wishing to ask any questions to the CPM please message me in game or on Skype.

Why don't I just ask them myself?
In their sub forum section, devoted solely to conversation with them?
Or ask them myself, via the social media links most of them provide?
Why should i go through a middle man when a direct line IS present?

Middas Betancore wrote:Other than dust, over the last 6 months, what games have been getting most of your playtime?
I haven't had time for other games really. I tried PlanetSide 2 again the other day (while recording Biomassed this weekend) and I've been playing a little bit of the new World of Warcraft expansion, but I haven't had much time for games in a couple of months.
Middas Betancore wrote:What are some of your all time fav games?
Mass Effect 2. Portal 1 and 2.
Middas Betancore wrote:What do u think is the most valuable lesson/s youve learnt being CPM?
Devs are people too. ;) Except Rattati, he's clearly an alien.
Middas Betancore wrote:What advice do you have for future CPM candidates?
Be prepared for a lot of work and a lot of hate. If you get on the CPM, people will sling a lot of mud at you. Some justified, some not. And to work with CCP, you have to balance understanding of their limitations with a firm push on what needs to happen.
Middas Betancore wrote:What's the upcoming feature/update/fix you are most looking forward to seeing implemented?
Player trading. It will make everything better.

I honest to God didn't see that sentence until the post where I quoted it. I kept answering after though, because I realized it would be silly for me to not answer questions I knew people wanted to know just to save them for your show. And I don't think people should be forced to watch a video or listen to a podcast or go to a specific place to get my answer.

A divisive mind does not fill that void.
The usual playful banter and mild matter tinfoil hattery is what I used to love about BAMM. His 'red wedding' video was expertly done, and he took the news in stride.
But since then something snapped.
He's moved from tinfoil hattery to wearing the shiniest and most folded tinfoil armor, most words dripping with vemon and thinly veiled attacks against the devs and cpm.
Criticism and snarky comments are good, they point out flaws, glitches in the system.
Glenn Beck style ranting gets us into the mess we're in.
Come back to being the class clown BAMM, we love you for that!

DUST Fiend wrote:This game is suffocating for user generated content. I'm sorry you dislike this game so much that youd rather stand in opposition against those who would attempt to help fill that void. There is a difference between content that generates interest in a game and what BAMM currently produces. MINA described them as Glenn Beck style rants and that is actually very spot-on. There is a specific kind of veteran that is attracted to that kind of content, and BAMM is catering to them.
New players who want to see what DUST is all about don't give a flying **** at a rolling doughnut about why some updates came out. They want to know what was in those updates. What will be in future updates. Maybe a video about how to run a fitting using X weapon that was balanced last patch.
If BAMM wants to do that kind of content he has my full support. I'll listen and watch his videos, I'll post comments. That's the content that will help act as a kind of advertising for Dust 514. Not this conspiracy theory alarmism.

Dude I never left, I am still here. But I do get your point. This is not the first time these points have been raised about me, I will endeavour to change back into the carefree drunk heavy fuelled on bacon and beer. Believe it or not my attempt to involve others in the making of my next video came from me deleting and remaking my 4th instalment on the DUST 514 investigations about 3 or 4 times. Where I hammered the CPM for being incompetent, unpaid interns and ego driven job seekers and CCP for being liars, thieves and conmen. So instead of me expressing my opinion in my video I wanted the CPM to express theirs with questions raised from both me and these forums.
But it seems, the point has been missed by some...

Is it likes? General replies to an idea? Multiple threads on same topic?
For example if I post a feature idea to buff the cloak, does my idea get logged/looked at in some way or am I wasting time posting if no one likes/views or replies to it? |

Droves of multiple threads tend to gain a lot of attention. Folks trying to get their class buffed though will get a few alts and some buddies and just plan that out though. ;) Some dropship pilots tried to make a big show of swarms being OP, but since it was like a "one afternoon, the same group of people started crying in the same 20 threads", it was really obvious it was staged. ;)

Less than 1% of the active playerbase voted for the CPM (according to CCPs active playerbase figures) so the other 99% believe that there is no one to bother voting for/no need for a CPM or simply just dont care so would you back an option on the ballot to have 'I dont want a CPM' option? No, because I know how bad of an idea this would be. The rest of the CPM will entirely agree with me on that. The CPM is vital to the life of the game, whether you get butthurt about forum answers you get or not. Less than 1% of the active playerbase votes for the CPM because less than 10% of the active playerbase uses the DUST forums like... ever. (And I'm probably being generous on my statistic.) Most people just log in and play the game, nothing more. It doesn't mean they don't care, or don't benefit from the CPM existing, they just don't know it exists. If anything, this is a good cause to more heavily promote the CPM in-game. However, the voting percentage will always be a very small percentage of total players, as is the same with the CSM in EVE as well. Lazer Fo Cused wrote:2. If a CPM member is not doing as they were elected ie judge going awol and playing destiny - Do you agree that we the playerbase should have the ability to get rid and get someone who may actually do something instead of waiting for a trip to china? While the player community holds the privilege of selecting the CPM, it is CCP's responsibility to vet candidates for eligibility, monitor their performance as CPM members (as players are not adequately capable of determining this during a term), and removing CPM members should there be cause to. As players have no ability to gauge internal activity level of CPM members, it's borderline impossible for players to make an educated decision about the status of a sitting CPM. Lazer Fo Cused wrote:3. After the rouge wedding and CPM0 terrible terrible terrible reign in which all confidence was lost for the next decade and in future CPMs since they stuck around for a free trip to fanfest when they knew the game was effectively being cancelled (not including based french caz who resigned), why should CCP even think of sending CPM1 (who havnt really improved on anything) to china let alone to the end of the road of where they live? What can they do in china that they can do on skype and other communications apart from eat a dog and waste CCP time and money which is earned from the players While it's unfortunate that as of yet we have not gotten a summit, we thankfully have a really good working relationship particularly with CCP Rattati, so we've been able to get a lot done. However, there are definite perks to a summit, in being able to see some of the process at work, and have an actual sit-down meeting with the developers. It's actually probably the most helpful to have a summit early in the term, to set the plan in motion for the rest of the term. As far as CPM0, you owe them more than you'll ever imagine. They were not prepared for the task that they faced, and they were put through 18 months of absolute concentrated stress. They went above and beyond the call of duty, even with some of the mistakes that were made. You seem to have a disjointed view that without CPM0 things would have been better, when in fact, things would have been much, much worse. And you probably owe me something too for entertaining your countless tirades and answering your questions honestly anyways. ;)
1. DUST worked fine before we had a CPM - It is in no way vital to DUST, under CPM0 we had moreproblems than enough which ended up with the rouge wedding and IWS being trotted out to defend CCP with a post about old games and DLC which didnt convince anyone by the way, i dont think CPM0 could have got any worse
2. We already know that judge threw a tantrum and had a strop when his ADS got nerfed not like he was any good in it anyways and now see him doing twitch streams of destiny - Another example is when jenza also disappeared for at least 6+months so not even there to do the role that it was chosen for yet the playerbase in CPM1 term cannot do anything about judge for example
3. Unfortunate? You havnt earned it and why do you need to see a dev do some coding? and your sit down meeting you can do on the net anyways 3a. CPM0 was not prepared for anything and that isnt stress and they did not go beyond the call of duty because they sat at a computer talking and waiting for a fanfest trip
4. I dont owe you anything, you should be more than happy to answer questions since the playerbase voted you in |

Because it's infinity times better than a group of people elected by 0% of the player base deciding the fate of the game. And CPM don't "decide the fate of the game" anyways.

Man, you have no idea. No freaking clue. And I don't know how you are still stuck on this: The CPM couldn't have stopped what happened last Fanfest. Sorry, we're simply not that powerful. It's nice to know you think so much of us, but it's simply nonsense.

Where did you get the impression a business trip had to be earned? It's work, man. It's not a sightseeing trip. If you're curious how this works, check out some of the past EVE CSM's 180-page meeting minutes.

CPM0 had one job: Set up the white paper for the first CPM election. (Which they did.) At no point in their job description where they supposed to be a full CPM, much less a CPM for 18 unending months.

No really, it isn't. Like, at all.
They should be talking to CCP a lot, but they are just required to listen to the players in game, on the forums, and in other media (the sub-reddit, etc.). Hell, they could rarely talk to us at all and still be doing a good job funneling information about our feelings/thoughts on [insert topic CCP is curious about].
Here is a visual representation of information flow... Players -> CPM <-> CCP
As opposed to how you seem to think the CPM works... Players <-> CPM <-> CCP
B-but why does CCP have a CPM?! They could just look at all of this stuff themselves! Because, dear sweet simpleton, there are a lot of players and a very small dev team in Shanghai. CPM officers act as a kind of quasi-community manager. They gather information and gauge the community's feelings on certain subjects. They differ from a community manager, in that, they are not required to talk to us unless they want to.
CCP is basically getting a free set of CM's out of the deal.
This isn't a question, but I just wanted to say that you look ruggedly handsome today. Thank you!
B-but they get a free vacation to Shanghai! CCP should be spending that money on development! The cost of hiring this many community managers would be thousands and thousands more than flying a handful of people out once or twice a year for a summit in Shanghai. The data gathered by CPM is worth the the cost of summit, and then some. CCP Rattati has already explained that is values CPM's input. What more do you need? That's a CCP employee saying that CPM is worth it.
