well, your gallente assault fit is bad then. Nope. Gallente are not suppose to armor tank. They are armor repper tankers. I see a Gallente Assault with more than 500 armor and I laugh because he is slow and has slow regen on top of it all. I can out runhim, get my health back up and continue killing him. But now, MinAss's speed with that amount of Armor is too powerful. Which is why Kinkats are in low slots. Imagine an Assault suit withh 700+ armor HP running everywhere at near speed of a Scout? That's how MinAss feel like now. (Exagerated in armor of course) MinASS can have 450 armor with about 10 reps but then they are only slightly faster then a comparably fitted gal. It's all about not using plates but rather using reactives.
MinASS has less low slots and base armor then a gal, so a properly fitted gal can always out shine a MinASS with armor.

I have multiple MinASS fits, but my go to fit armor tank/rep with reactives and 2 damage mods in high. But any more then 2 damage mods is a waste with the stacking penalty so that leaves me with Sheilds or percision in the other 2 highs.
Percision is pointless on it, that's what my minja is for Rechargers are also pointless with such low Sheilds
So I fill in those last two slots with extenders I tried using damps and had some fun but ultimately my minja did better.
I have minja infiltrator/assassin MinASS for assaulting Min logi for logistics And min heavy for the heavy lifting

your minmatar fit is just pub stomp material and will be crushed by a tripple damage modded gallente with TAC AR any day of the week. I will take almost twice the DPS for only ~20% less hp with better self repair any day. Where do you get that the eye won't notice a faster movement speed? I can damn sure notice Minmatar assaults moving faster than I can pin a reticle on them. I don't have that problem with Caldari, Amarr, or Gallente dropsuits. It's noticeable and I'm a terrible player on my best day. Also, you still haven't addressed the issue with lag making the "benefits" of strafing even more pronounced. There is a good reason why a lot of latino corps run Minmatar assault. In regard to my Minmatar assault fitting: the need for local reps is lessened if you run with a squad that has a logi. I do. If your shields are down just run away. You have incredible sprint speeds and stamina regen rates; use them. I don't have a single SP into the Minimatar assault dropsuit command, and I only have CR op IV, yet I go 2 - 3 K/D consistently in my APEX MinAssault. Reiterating that I am a terribad player and I can go 2+ K/D in this thing In regard to my Gallente assault fitting: Triple stacking damage mods is lawl-worthy. That third mod is giving tiny DPS increases. You will get a better RoI if you fit a shield extender or precision enhancer. Your link is wrong
Also your numbers don't add up GalASS has 3/5 and MinASS is 4/4 So the galASS has an extra ferroscale for 75hp in place of the MinASS extender that is only 66 And the MinASS has lower base hp
So please link the right fitting or you case will be dismissed due to falsified evidence

However your comparison is like saying it's not fair that amarr assault can fit more armor tank Because it's their play style.
I just got a covenant calASS and it wiggles pretty good to, because of no plates....

Hit detection is crap and lag/frame rate drops make even crappier, agreed.
But that is totally different subject then saying the 5% straff difference is OP
I have mated with my controller try to do the wiggle dance and most times I move slow as hell but there is a sweet spot were you start almost sprinting hole wiggling. From my understanding m/k do this much better/easier but it can be done by skilled "wigglers"
My opinion is though that those who have his talent go the suit that is best suited for his dance. I've had calASS matrix my CR plenty of times.
