Honestly, you picked the wrong Scout If you wanted eWar. Due to Precision Enhancers being the only high slot eWar modules, you'll have to make due with two low slots which will more than likely be spent on Profile Damps and nothing else. |

Gallente or Amarr for ewar. After getting killed at 63m by a heavy I think I will exclusively run the rail rifle for a month haha

Sure, many will disagree with that setup, but somewhere down the road of my CalScout days, running it as a light assault suit became more effective than running it as a traditional scout.
I'm not sure how far you've gotten into upgrading your eWar skills--precision, range, hacking, dampening--but if you are willing to try something not typical of a Scout, dual tank the hell out of it. With an Assault Rail Rifle in your main slot, you'll be set to surprise any player through long distanced flanking and if the situation gets a little too close for comfort, have an alpha weapon sidearm ready to go. If that fails, run away because you can. |

I dual tank my cal scout 2 complex shield, 2 enhanced plates, an 2 complex damage mods. Around 300/300 on shield/armor not exact cause not on game but pretty close. Probably my favorite suit cause I can run proto links n compact hive with whatever adv gun usually cr or breach.

You are limited in what you can put on a proto cal scout but you can really amp up your precision scanning. On mine I ran two complex precision amps complex extender and an advanced recharger in the highs with on complex kinkat and a complex dampener in the lows. Granted not ideal but good because of passive damp I didn't show up on most scans and infantry was mostly blind to me. It really depends on what you want to do with it. No armor plates keeps your speed so it makes a good uplink/scanner suit.

ck0 makes a good light assault, but for scanning an active scanner on any suit does it better imho |

Lows are two Complex Damps, that is easy. An Amarr Scout gets to 16.06 at close range with Double Precision while a Caldari Scout hits 15.72 with Double Damp, officially making it invisible from the 'Hunter.' The only thing that is going to see you is a Prototype Focused scanner by a Gallente Logistics 5.
For highs you have some options with Shield Extenders being the most obvious because of the very good regeneration rates. I like a single Complex Precision Enhancer as it gets you to 31.68 / 28.8 / 25.92 . That will see all non dampened Minmatar/Amarr Scouts to show up at medium range (31.5 db). With their cloak, they will still be within medium range unless it is Prototype Cloak. Without a single one, NO Scout will show up within ANY range if they have max Profile Damp. Non-dampened Caldari and Gallente Scouts will show up within short range (26.78 db).
The second will get you to 26.17 / 23.79 / 21.41 . That will see a non-dampened Scout of any kind at 45 meters. Single Damp Caldari/Gallente Scouts will be utterly invisible (20.08 db). Cloaked Minmatar/Amarr Scouts without damps will be within 45 as well. Cloaked Caldari/Gallente without damps will be show up at 33.75 meters.
Shield Energizers and Rechargers are not really worth it given the great passive Shield stats, so it is mostly Precision and Extenders. I find the single Complex to be the most bang for your buck given the fact that without one you will not see ANY Scout. The difference between seeing no other Scout and seeing non-damped Amarr/Minmatar at 33.75 meters and Gallente/Caldari at 11.25 meters was night and day to me.
If you are looking for e-war beyond "I can see people that aren't trying to hide from far away", Amarr or Gallente would probably be your best bet. Caldari's bonus is more suited to being able to avoid threats rather than find them.
