They're seventy-five times as expensive as a solid militia-gear build.

They're fivee times as expensive as a solid advanced-gear build.
Yet, unless you HP tank them with massive shields/armor, they die just as quickly as any above.
What makes proto stompers so powerful is not their gear. It's that they run in squads who keep their group tight, within about 25 meters of each other. This allows them to rotate in and out quickly if one is low on HP. The injured soldier can fall back while the others move to the front and act as a shield. They can pick each other up. They can all focus their attack on a single soldier who just spawned out of a CRU. They can all focus their attack on a single soldier left to defend an objective. They all focus on a single solder, and when they do, he drops in under a second.
If you want to stomp, you can do it in militia gear: 1. Find a group of people you can play with every day for 8 hours in a row. 2. Always stay within 25 meters of each other in battle. 3. When you get hurt, move behind those who are not hurt and let them take some damage as they finish off the enemy. 4. Pick each other up. 5. Use comms so that you can call out which soldier you will all focus your attack on. 6. Have someone run scans. 7. Have a knifer or puncher to run up in people's faces. (optional but trendy)
There is synergy in a group. That is the power; not the meta level of the weapons/armor.
If the whole f*cking team fights ^^^ this is possible regardless to what you're wearing. Do it in advanced gear all the time. The issue with proto stomping is when the majority of your team stops fighting because they saw a proto rifle in the kill feed.
THIS Community is largely a bunch b*tches worried more about their kd than winning battles. As soon as they see a real challenge they leave or snipe. This puts the rest of your team into a relentless camp fest?! The "6 v 16" situation. Sometimes all it takes is a slayer logi with links, needle, a scanner, and a proto rifle on an adv su it to get you back into an area. I can guarantee a f*cking sniper rifle won't do that!
Sometimes when getting proto stomped stop and check the map. You'll find that you and about 4 other mercs are actually fighting. The rest of those p*ssies are in the redline watching you get obliterated knowing full well you could use a hand. Sorry for the language, but this bothers the f*ck out of me.
To address your cash issue there are a number of different ways to make isk stack honestly.
1. Manage your PC activity
Stop xing up for every d*mn match! Some maps aren't good for your role. Close maps generally get assaults blown away while open maps have claimed many a sentinel caught running across 50 meters of plain. Foolishly going into PC with under 10 mil in your account isn't smart. Make sure you have atleast 25 of the suit (s) you intend to run in that PC. If you don't you don't X.
2. BPO's are awesome!
With your upgrades and proficiencies maxed a merc can turn a cheap bpo into a killing machine. (Still waiting on gal logi, sentinel, assault, and commando bpos CCP, and not those sh*tty apex suits) I would invest in a bpo before those d*mn keys!
3. Set goals!
"Today I'm gonna grind up 10 mil isk!" Simple right? Take your time, perfect your abilities, and watch your isk stack. Tell yourself "I'm not running proto until I reach my next million skill points!". I guarantee you'll have some isk saved up.
4. Do math!
Calculator? Check! Price tags? Check! Brain?...... eh?!
Calculate up how much 100 prototype dropsuits will cost you. You can also do this with weapons, mods, equipment, etc. Grind up double your calculations. You will have 100 ready to go plus some buffer. Simple.
5. Run in squad with mercs that have scrots! If your in a squad of guys that see a corp name, and instantly mentally quit? Call them all p*ssies, exit squad, find some f*cking fighters, and squad up for some 16 v 16 barn burners!
I know there are corps that you know for a fact are just not worth you burning isk on as they all out experience you by leagues, but you won't get any better not fighting will you? If nothing else lock down one point, and make them earn it every time they show up. If they take it move to the next, and stack up! o7

My gungame suck so I throw RE's and snipe when not supporting blueberries with my reps and hives. go to mirror and ask your self "well, tell me your own opinion, how did it go?" and stop rushing. Lol git gud, then proceeds to say "I throw RE's and snipe." The real answer is to get scrubby, most proto players don't care about the team, or even winning in pubs. They only care about their K/D and isk efficiency. I see a lot of proto players run cloaky scouts and camp CRUs/points the entire match. They usually end up something like 20/1 at the end of the match, while their team loses horribly. So just grab a cloaky scout with RE's/shotgun and camp. Rotflmao! I totally missed the scrubbery posted there lol! Omg what a scrub! "Get gud" lol! Man I almost p*ssed myself when I read that lmao! Directly after telling a man to "get gud" he suggest throwing remotes and sniping lol! I can't breathe lol!
