This visual feature is hampering the ion pistols performance in pub matches and in PC environments. It makes it far too hard to aim properly at players at ranges greater than 5m. Please delete the 'wobble' or 'shaking' of the ion pistols sights when the weapon is fully charged. |

Damage doesnt matter if you miss your shot because your weapon decided to aim somewhere else all of a sudden. Even FGs (that shake violently while charging) are still while fully charged. |

being an experienced IP user. I can say it kinda needs the ''shakeing'' not that it matters much.
the whole point of the charge shot is you either hit/ deal a **** ton of damage. or it misses and does nothing.

The Shake is there to promote CQC battle while discouraging medium range performance. The developers don't want the Ion Pistol to just be a pocket Scrambler Rifle in the sense that it would be usable at medium range.

A 20m optimal and 40m absolute does an excellent job of preventing it from being used at medium range already. If you're using it past point blank, you're losing damage, and if you're trying to fight at medium range you're doing zero damage.

You say that like any sidearm is all that great in the 20-40 range apart from the BP.
At least currently the SMG is a pee shooter around there. Even the ScP suffers, especially the assault and breach variant.
Dual tanking is for bad players.
Come play a better game.

Don't exaggerate. It doesn't do THAT much damage. Sure, I could strip an Assault's Ck.0's shields with a single shot from my Militia Ion, but I have prof, stats' favor, and even with all that, I have to wait 2 seconds to do anything else. I could achieve better results by spamming shots or whipping out an AR, then I would have with a charge shot.
That said, I still use it a lot because it's fun. LolchargeFTW |
