These guys seemed really excited for Dust 514. I'm pretty sure it's a re-upload, but yeah that was a super hyping video. These guys should work for CCP's advertising department, so we can have the same amount of disappointment that Destiny players had/have. Talk about hype men.
Or on the other side of things we can still see how great dust 514 is/was. It's ambitious and stuff.
Optimism goes a long way.

He is serious. Dust 514 IS an innovation. though it wasn't perfectly executed, it's still a more daring venture than what other game companies have done with their titles. Considering this game was made by devs who specialized in a spaceship game that did not even resemble an fps an any fashion.
Beyond that even though they committed to move the game over to pc, they still allowed more development to this game. I mean what other company decides to put focus on a sequel to a game where there is no guarantee for profit, and go back to that game where they royally destroyed the trust of their player base. That's called risk buddy boy, and it payed off apparently because they refuse to allow this game to die again.
Even thought the link is small it's still huge in terms of achievement, and it'll get even bigger when we're all in our own personal warbarges, so maybe they should be hyped...

I remember when I was excited about the future of Dust...
There was always hope that the game would eventually become what was advertised. The huge battles, the markets, the procedural maps, the racial parity, a more meaningful EVE connection, where players could interact in a more substantial way than orbitals in 2 game modes and chat.
That hope held for about a year and a half, until Fanfest'14. Generally the first half of 2014 was just a terrible time to be a Dust fan, and I hated it in particular due to the ScP nerf, and the Plasma Cannon rework. The two guns that are what I considered to be the best part of this game are nothing like the ones I once knew.
Rattati has done some to keep the light from completely dying out, but it has faded all the same. With the beta of Planetside on PS4, which is a pretty similar type of FPS to what MAG(best FPS ever, for those who aren't aware) was, I'm feeling the will to even turn on my PS3 diminish.
