Sure it could use some improving but ya, I kinda dig running about the map. About the only thing I could go for as a buff would be a reduction in the sway when zooming in on a target. Even then it'd have to be slight. Don't undestand the how some are saying it needs range or a damage buff. What am I missing?..besides half my shots XD
Snupe yo face off. Finally put the tactical sniper on a fit. sniping starts a few minutes in.

Sniping is fun in scout suit. Since your going to die anyway if a sniper sees you or youget snuck up on, i run a EWAR, damage modded, and speedy cloaky sniper fit. With Black Eagle AR XD.

That's easy when your team has control of the field. What people don't realize is that sniping is fully dependent upon what you can get away with based on how well a team you are on. You can't move up if your team can't hold that part of the field.
Unless you scrub out and go commando of course.

Can it be done? If in a mobile suit. Otherwise, you're done.

lol.
As funny as that video was. All that sniping was useless. Pegged a couple of redline snipers here and there, poor noobs...
Pegged a couple of people camping on a tower...
A weapon with no relevance to the fight, was used to kill players that had no relevance to the fight. Is this really the shameful garbage that sniping has been reduced to?
There was no sniper support for guys fighting around the objective. There was no sniper support for ANYTHING related to the objective.
This was not sniping. This was random killing with a sniper rifle. You would have done loads better and been more relevant to the fight, using a CR.
Then to call this nonsense "fun". Oh man... But, glad you had fun man.
Edit: I do agree on the sway reduction. The delays that it causes, severely limit the sniper rifle in situations requiring speed.

I try to be relevant and end up playing one game every couple months because of how annoyed I get with the game.
Why crap all over people who find ways to enjoy a game that tries so hard to be unlikeable?

This is how I use snipers, and is why I approve of the recent changes. They made this playstyle viable.
I really don't feel all to bad about the sadsacks that only ever wanted to use snipers to get so far away that they become untouchable.
Snipers are actually fun now, and since this is a videogame, the change was good.

In a Competitive Match you won't get behind enemy lines and stay there long enough to get a kill with a SR.

2. Most people don't go competitive anyway. I speak for the times I've done it in pubs.

glad you like sniping Jolly. you're good with the tacSR and mobile scout. i used to do that on my scout account if i wasn't running and gunning. it's the kind of sniping that most people can respect since it's up close and personal. if only they'd make it so you could press L3 and steady your scope, as was suggested -time for sway to be zero being lower with higher SR proficiency- we'd see a lot more of this. not aiming for COD sniping or anything, just reduced sway standing. it's in every other FPS.
some things i noticed though, as others already pointed out (not to burst your bubble) - targets you shot at were stationary, predictable blueberries on the rooftop, and in the red. of the mobile ones in the high traffic lane near the objective, none of them had any gear higher than ADV. it was ADV, STD, or MLT.
the push for damage and range comes from the need to be able to support your team by taking down individuals, or competent and competitive teams. the main complaint against this is and always has been the redline. they increased the size of the red line on some newer map sockets so we couldn't snipe from some perches, i don't see why they couldn't just reduce it on the edges of the maps as well. additionally, at the PC level, sniping's not up to snuff as you're going against a team of full proto suits, tactically playing the game, and soon enough, better than proto suits. if you tried this there, they'd route you out easily.
I see you coming from a mile away. 18 KDR. Twittter: SkylineExplicit
