I placed 3 basic remotes on this tank and detonated them. They do 1250 damage each. That is normally not enough to kill a Soma, but it looks like the damage was upped due to placing them on this little hatch which is the tank's weak spot.
I was in my Republic 'Tiger" APEX Scout suit.

Yep! There are weak spots at the back of tanks. You can also find battery-looking things on Caldari tanks which act as their weak point.
If you find yourself forging a dropship, you can also try shooting the engines for a damage bonus.
Sometimes, one just has an overwhelming urge to throw a potato at someone.

When in doubt, get the butt. However, their belly is the best, which is how I netted many a kill before the BW was implemented. I haven't made a new suit to accommodate it, but I've killed millions of ISK worth of tanks with my proxies.

Call one in and scope it out with any weapon you can see the efficiency increaseGǪ that is the sweet spot.

LAVs have a weak point as well. Aim for the engine block.

Hitting a weakpoint with something like a Forge Gun make a HAV pilot freak out and makes us AV users laugh like maniacs.
As far as I know;
HAV weakpoints - rear of the vehicle, between the tank treads. Looks like a battery or engine.
LAV - engine block
Dropships - the engines themselves.
Purifier. First Class.

I did not know that. :o
Unfortunately what I do know is that Nova Knives are unrealistically effective against LAV's and Dropships. Its almost not funny.

excuse me sir can u please pull over and pop ur bonnet so i can stand on a step ladder and get a critical hit.
im assuming u mean front+top of the hood/bonnet.
or are these things mid or rear engined?
i was having trouble finding it with my gun scope.
