Seems like a very short range for an anti tank/ vehicle gun.
No nerf needed.
Most high velocity shells have effective kill ranges of km's...... and arguably since the Forgegun is a railgun it should have essentially for our intents and purposes a huge range.
However if you are considering the round being fired from the Forgegun (and this is the first time I've ever considered it) as a Super-dense Iridium Sabot..... 500m makes a little bit of sense.

Tell that to the sniper haters... But balance wise it was needed, I guess.
You make a valid point....but the more I consider it the more I think a super dense sabot would eventually see a falloff dude to its immense weight.

A Railgun's muzzle velocity is something like 7500m/s.........
